living the nightmare again

Mission: What Dreams May Come?
Location: Cam's quarters

Cam was walking along the decks of the Calypso, looking for some of his staff. As he walked, it struck him that he hadn`t run into any of the Calypso crew, which was unusual. Even during shoreleave there was always a few people running around the ship doing one thing or another.

The further along the deck he walked, the more concerned he became. Eventually he reached the doors leading to the Marine Barracks, surely there'd be someone there. However, as soon as he stepped inside, the scene that met him wasn't what he wanted to see. A trail of blood leading from each of the bunks to the door he'd just entered with no other sign of the bodies. Choosing to be cautious, Cam quickly sealed the room and walked to the nearest wall console, "Computer, Status Report" he said, scanning the blank pannel looking for a responce. None came.

After a few more atempts, Cam heard what he thought was phaser fire coming from further down the corridor. Running straight for the closest phaser locker, he grabbed one and hurried in the direction of the phaser fire. By the time he reached the location, the fight was over and several of the crew lay dead on the floor, all with phaser damage.

Chrcking each body for a pulse, Cam found nothing. However, after looking at the damage closer, he thought he recognised it but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Just as he stood up and turned to leave, he ran straight into three Jem'Hadar, charging at him. He bearly had time to react before they were on top of him, beating him senceless.

Waking up with a start, Cam quickly sat up in his bed sweeting and panting. After regaining his bearings, Cam stood up from his bed and made his way over to his bathroom basin. Splashing some cold water on his face, Cam stood up straight and looked at himself in the mirror, "I realy need to get some counciling" he said to himself before putting on his gym cloths and heading for the nearest holodeck
