Mission: What Dreams May Come?
Location: XO's Quarters

ON:

Alexandra sauntered into her quarters nearing complete exhaustion. She had not slept for the better part of eighteen hours and very little since her assimilation by the borg. Her bed had been refitted with components of a borg alcove to facilitate the remaining implants in her body and supposedly to give her a more restful sleep. Thus far it had not served it's purpose, then again nothing on this ship seemed to work 'as intended'.

She removed her uniform and changed into a silk night gown letting her hair down. She crawled under her sheets adjusting her position for best comfort. Within ten minutes Alexandra's eyes were shut and she was asleep.

A loud slapping noise awoke Alexandra from her sleep. She immediately sprung up and reached for her phaser, but it was not in it's place.

"Tell me what I want to know human." barked a woman's voice from the living area.

"Sergeant Amarylis Beckinsale, service number one, three, seven, nine, five, two." a voice sounding like Amarylis Beckinsale's replied.

Another slapping noise followed by a moan. "Come now Sergeant, I can do this all day. Just be a dear and tell me so I can put you and your friend out of your misery and mine." the woman hissed.

Alexandra stepped gingerly to the other room to see whom the intruders were. Vance's eyes widened as the two figures came into view.

Amarylis was chained down to the floor naked being struck mercilessly by none other than Gul Morat.

Morat strode over to the table and retrieved a whip. "Amarylis, do you remember this? You should, it's the same one I used on Alexandra Vance....there's still some of her blood on it. I hope it won't get you sick...i'd hate to see you distracted."

"Stop this Morat." Vance said coldly.

Morat ignored her and continued staring down Amarylis. She gritted her teeth and struck Amarylis across the back instantly ripping the flesh from it.

Amarylis screamed out in agony as the leather tore her flesh. "Sergeant...."

Morat struck Amarylis once again making her scream out in agony once again.

"Cease your actions now Cardassian, or I will show you a hell that will echo in your mind far past death." Vance warned Morat.

Morat struck Amarylis once again making the marine collapse to the floor. She began to cry as she squirmed about trying to free herself.

"Come now Alexandra, why fight it? It feels so good. Just grip it tight and flick your wrist, you'll see." Morat said.

Alexandra looked down at her hand to see the very whip Morat was holding gripped tightly between her fingers.

"Do it! You know you want to." Morat beckoned to Alexandra. "Your compassion for her makes you weak! Look at her, barely two strikes and she is already crying. You lasted far longer Alexandra."

Alexandra looked at the whip and then back to Amarylis whom looked up to Vance with moistened bloodshot eyes. "Please..."

Alexandra flicked her wrist back and swiftly swung it forward striking Amarylis with the whip.

Amarylis hit the floor hard once again letting out a bloodcurdling scream. She looked back up at Vance. "Why...."

Vance struck Amarylis again. Her screams were invigorating Alexandra. She struck Amarylis again.

"That's the spirit!" Morat cheered on.

Vance struck Amarylis again, then again. Her strikes were rapid and Amarylis' screams were becoming weaker as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Oh my Alexandra, you are really enjoying this." Morat said with a sinister smile.

Alexandra continued to strike Amarylis' body as her nude skin tone soon turned crimson from the series of violent strikes.

"Oh my god!" Amarylis screamed as she squirmed about violently trying to avoid the strikes.

"You're god will not save you now." Vance replied flatly sneering disapprovingly at Beckinsale.

Vance shot up from her pillow finding herself back in her bed. She looked around the room for any other people but saw nor heard anyone.

She retrieved her phaser from beside her bed and rushed into the living area. The room was empty...there was no Morat and no Amarylis.....

Alexandra breathed a sigh of relief, but only a short one as she was now left with a memory burned deep into her psyche far worse than what any cardassian had done to her.

For the first time in a very long time, Alexandra felt fear....
