Mission: A Pirate's Life
Location: Holodeck

ON

The Black Pearl glided gracefully alongside the Man-O-War with only five meters between the two ships. In spite of the holodeck controls malfunctioning, Sam was enjoying herself. She might as well, there was nothing they could do until this battle was over. Time enough then to find a safe harbor and figure out how to get off the holodeck.

"Look lively, my hearties!" she called. "Prepare the grappling hooks. Mister Benge and Mister Manning, prepare the fire. Mister Bourne, take Kara and Amarylis and lead the boarding party. Remember, take prisoners and kill only if you have to. All we want is the treasure and we'll let them go -- provided they surrender and promise to go home peacefully." Sam wasn't one to slaughter the crew just because she could. She much preferred to take the treasure and leave the crew alive -- with enough food and water to last them until help arrived, of course. Even on the holodeck there were certain lines she wouldn't cross.

Cam nodded to Sam than turned to Kara and Amarylis, "looks like we get the fun job. If you know how to use the larger swords and Rifles, than bring them with you, otherwise short swords and pistols only. Chemical projectile weapons were very basic in this era each carried one shot only before they needed to be reloaded. The best strategy is to either use your pistols straight away than toss them, or hold onto them until the opportune moment. Understood?"

"Understood." Kara grabbed a cutlass as it wasn't too heavy and awkward. She checked it for balance and grinned at Cam. "Ready."

"I only need one shot sir." Amarylis said with a wink.

"Good, than make every shot count. I know the Commadore said don't kill, but that may not be something we can do. Hit fast, hit hard and make a beach-head for the others. Let's do it" Cam said, drawing his sword, turning around and moving forward.

"I'll make no promises sir." Amarylis said following Cameron in. She was glad to see him adjusting so well to his liberation.

Kara was close behind them. She grabbed a rope and waited for the grappling hooks to pull the two ships close enough to cross over.

Out of rocket's, Robert took aim with his rifle scanning the enemy ship for there officer's
as he was scanning he whispered just loud enough for the pirate to hear him

“I address thee who watch is over me with respect and fear, for I am a sniper and ask but three things be granted to me in these times of horror and death wrought by man’s inhumanity to man, called war.

First I ask that I may be silent and unseen in my quest to perform my duty with perseverance, loyalty, honor and courage.

Second, may I shoot straight and kill my much respected enemy quickly, with one shot so that he does not suffer and writhe in pain.

Lastly dear Lord, I ask that you grant me the ability to be cunning and smart in my quest to be victorious over my enemy and adapt to whatever he may put before me by using the assets you have placed on this earth and the abilities instilled within me as a trained sniper

I pray you will forgive me for filling the halls of your heavenly house with souls, for I am a true believer and I ask thee for forgiveness.... Amen”

On the bow of the ship, Sam was preparing for her next maneuver. "Prepare the chain shot! Take down the Mainsail!"

She picked up a megaphone and addressed the other ship. "This is Kate the Cursed! Surrender now, give us your treasure and we'll let you live!"

The chain shot took down the mainsail, bringing a cheer from the pirates. Sam waited for the other Captain to surrender, but he did not. So, next came the grappling hooks, attaching to the rail of the other ship and pulling the two closer.

"Boarding party, to the ropes!" she ordered.

Malcolm was considering storming the ship with everyone else but figured it wasn't his cup of tea."I'll just stay here, in case they try to.. Uhh.. sail away with our ship.. or something." he said trailing off

Nodding to Sam, acknowledging the order, Cam started to spin up his hook, "board at will people"

Tallas stood there, in her pirate gear and very unpirate like blue face. Being an Andorian, she knew only about this time period from what she read. She thought it was a fascinating time, but wouldn't give up her electronics for all the rum, gold, and jewels in all the high seas. She did know that this was a party and boy did she love parties, more so dressing up. It was the costume that gave her the real thrill. Where else can you carry a sword and a pistol and get away with it. Tallas got to wave around a sword. It didn't get any better then that for her. "This is awesome!" She screamed as she grabbed onto the rope with a large grin on her face. "If this wasn't totally a holodeck I would never leave!"

It took Robert about five minutes to find one of the officer's screaming try to get his crew organized "sorry and may you find peace when you met your god" he said quietly under his breath as Robert exhaled he pulled the trigger the bullet went screaming to the officer's heart dropping the man instantly but with out pain. Robert dropped lower behind his cover of the crow's nest and started loading another round.

Mandy was one of the last ones onto the other ship, and the fighting was already all around when she got there. She pulled her sword out, and began to slash at the nearest enemy, having forgotten to grab a pistol.

Kara looped the rope around her foot and grabbed onto the rope to swing across to the other ship. "Surrender, scumbags!" she yelled, getting into character. One of the seamen came at her with a sword and she deftly deflected his thrust and lunged.

Amarylis followed Kara over drawing her sword as she landed upon the deck. A burly scruffy looking man whom probably had no sense of personal hygiene came screaming towards her.

Amarylis scoffed smugly. "Oh darling, that's no way to introduce yourself to a woman." She deflected the initial blow from his charge pushing his sword away from her with her cutless.

With the man exposed, she instinctively kicked the man in his groin. He yelped loudly and cowered into a ball in pain.
