"You're feisty. I like feisty." Hur'Rak grabbed her by her shoulders and pushed her against the wall, getting closer to her. Damion just stood there and watched. He walked away a bit and then stopped. He turned again and looked back toward Ronnie. Something about her was pulling him in. Something familiar about her that he couldn't quiet put his finger on.
She glared at Hur'Rak. "Back off." She slowly moved her hand to where her knife hid, careful not to draw attention to her action.
Hur'Rak laughed, ending it in a devilish smile. "Make me!"

She pulled out her knife and stabbed him in the groin. Before he could stop her, she stepped away. "Good enough?" she said as she positioned herself to turn and run.
Everyone in Hur'Rak's group moved toward Ronnie. They all grabbed her and held her against the wall as Hur'Rak screamed and then growled, pulling out her knife and holding it. As everyone pulled held onto her, Hur'Rak yelled. "Stop!" He looked at them and then looked to Ronnie. "Let Johnny take care of her."
Damion looked over to Ronnie and slowly pulled back the hood again. He took a good look at her, moved his eyes up and down as he slowly walked towards her. He couldn't stop wondering who she was. Was she another one of these prisoners trying to push herself up the ranks or was she just trying to survive and stumbled on something she shouldn't of. Her eyes were genuine. Her concern was genuine and real enough for him to believe her, but that could just mean she believed her own fantasy.
He stopped in front of her and tilted his head slowly. Damion gave her that cold gaze and then, without warning, threw his hand out and grabbed her by the throat. He straightened his head slowly and then took another step closer to her. He got a closer look into her eyes, but kept his own concerns to himself as he brought his other hand up and ran his fingertips down the side of her face. "You're too beautiful to kill." He moved his hand away and then pulled out a knife and held it to her throat. "But it's not my decision, is it?"
"Since when are you anyone's puppet?" Ronnie asked. She'd underestimated the others, thinking they'd want to help their boss and she'd have a chance to get away. "You're a telepath. Read my thoughts. You'll know if I'm lying."
Ronnie was supposed to meet Sam later. Was she close enough to pick up on Ronnie's panic? Even though she appeared calm on the outside, inside she was afraid that this time she'd gone too far. She looked back at Damion, her heart in her eyes. "Trust your feelings."
"What are you waiting for?" Hur'Rak yelled as the rest of the group helped him up.
Damion looked deep in her eyes and he knew something was there, but he didn't know what it was. He knew that all he could remember was bits and pieces. Fragments of a life he couldn't even hold onto and here comes this woman who believes she knows who she is. She has a love for him that he can't even recognize, but he can sense. He lowered the blade of the knife and was looking for a way to get out of the situation, but he decided that the best way to get out of it was to do something less lethal. "I'm sorry, but its better then the alternative."
He slid the knife back into its sheath. He then took his hand away from her throat and then belted her with a strong backhand, enough to knock her onto the ground and away from the group. Damion just looked at her with those apologetic eyes as he slipped his hood back on.
Hur'Rak and the others laughed in enjoyment. "I'll be seeing you real soon, sweetie." Hur'Rak yelled and then brought his lips together, kissing the air and then licking his lips.
"Not if I see you first," she vowed. She sat up slowly but remained on the ground. At least he hadn't killed her. It was something.
As the others walked away, Damion still stood there. He watched her for a few seconds. He tried to picture her in his mind, hoping it was trigger something about her. Maybe she was right. Maybe they did know each other, but maybe she could also be someone who hated him. Someone who was trying to get back at him, given his reputation. He lowed his head and then turned away from her to follow the others.
Ronnie watched him walk away then covered her face with her hands, trying to hold back the tears. He was her Damion, but he didn't know her -- or himself.
Four weeks she'd searched for him and now what? What could she do if he wasn't himself.
She heard a soft groan from the man on the ground. She slowly got up and went over to him to see how he was doing. After a quick look she decided he'd live. "Come on. I know someone who can help you." As long as he didn't have an IED in his head.
She helped him up and the two limped to where Sam would be waiting. She would know what to do. At least, Ronnie hoped she would. She couldn't give up on Damion, not even after this.
