"It depends on how safe you consider the area," Sam replied. "And if there's a need. We're already split into two groups."

Ronnie sighed and smiled at Maddison. "I think we've been outvoted. Okay, I think we should go in a circle around the shuttle first, the strike out in the most likely direction."

"We could always-" Maddison Tyler started.

"Maddison, we will not have any of that. I know exactly where you are going with it, and I assure you Levue will approve of it significantly less than Ms. Kyt would have." Robert Tyler noted.

Ronnie gave Maddison an understanding smile. She, too, wondered what would happen if they just walked off, but with Mangalia in the group, she wasn't sure they'd get away with it.

"Which way do we go?" I'm here to protect, that's about it. Unless something catches my eye, then I doubt that we'll be breaking apart any time soon." Leo was tired of not moving, usually being a man of action, he hated sitting still. That's why he had never taken a snipers course that he could pass. "Granted we come up on something that does..."

Ronnie nodded. "Okay."

Robert Tyler sniffed the air. He frowned. He looked at Maddison. "Take your field generator off, a minute. Something smells funny in the air."

Maddison scowled at him. "It's air, Robert. It always smells funny."

They began to go in a rough circle around the shuttle, checking for whatever she could find. Mostly, there was nothing too out of the ordinary. Her tricorder flickered from time to time. She took several plant clippings as she went along. She pulled up one small plant by the roots and stuck it into a sample bag.

As they went along she noticed something odd. The more plant clippings she collected, the worse her tricorder behaved. "I think I've found something," she said. "I want to get back to the shuttle and verify it."

Leo nodded and looked around. "Then we all go, when you're ready Ma'am."

Doctor Bowen bent down and pulled the plant up. She examined it, finding it a little strange too. It didn't have any herb properties, she noted. She put the plant to her nose and she took a sniff. "I think the smell is coming from these plants," the doctor said.

Ronnie looked at the others. "What about the rest of you? Are you ready to go back for now?"

"I've got nothing on my schedule, today, ladies, and gentlemen, but to wave my phaser, threateningly, at a butterfly." Robert said, watching a strange-blue hued butterfly dance about the tip of his phaser.

"That's so mean." Maddison said.

"Says the woman who lists them as an ingredient in one of her best soups." Robert retorted.

"Oh! That reminds me, if you can, try and catch it! I want-" Maddison started.

"You leave Philmore alone!" Robert said. "He's not a soup ingredient."

"Philmore?" Maddison asked.

"The Butterfly's name is Philmore." Robert said, nodding.

Maddison shook her head.

When they got back to the shuttle, Ronnie put her samples away in a shielded storage container. As soon as the container was closed, her tricorder chirped. "Well, that looks like pretty concrete proof to me," she said. "I think these plants merit more study."

Leanne followed the group back to the shuttle and chuckled at the conversation between Robert and Maddison. As soon as she sat down in the chair, she pulled the plant out of her bag and set it on the console. She decided to quickly study the plant even if she is not a plant specialist. At least she knows herbs very well.

Philmore followed Robert on to the shuttle, without anyone especially noticing.

"Let's head back. I'd like to find out more about thees plants before we do more exploring," Ronnie said.

Leanne cut a leaf off the stem of the plant and an electrical current shocked her finger like a static would with no damage. The broken off area of the stem without the leaf attached, started to bleed a blue color. How odd, she thought. With her finger, she allowed the blue material to touch it. After it was on her finger, she rubbed it with her thumb to feel it. Like how blood would feel. She was useless without her tricorder, but she uses her eyes to observe it like the old days of no technology. "These plants do give off a small amount of electricity after you break a leaf off," the doctor said outloud. Leanne noted the blue stain on her finger and she wiped it off.

"Attention away team two, this is Ensign Stran. Captain, I believe you had best return to the ship. There are some interesting events you need to be made aware of, which are best done in person." Ensign Stran's voice filled the away team's shuttle.

"We just got here," the doctor said softly, no one in particular. She decided to pack up the plant and return to her seat, wondering what was interesting up at the ship.

Leo nodded and looked around. "You heard em, round up and move out."
