Mission: The Race for the Lost Treasure
Location: Subspace Com-link

Daniel was notified that he was receiving a Subspace Com-link.

From his mother. Finally.

"Daniel, I'm beginning to worry about you." His mother said, without preamble.

"That's exactly what Lieutenant Levue said." Daniels said, with a frown.

"You sent me a SOCK. From Outer space." His mother said, with a frown.

"Yes. I did. I told you I didn't destroy it, when I was five!" Daniels exclaimed. "But you didn't believe me! You grounded me for two weeks!"

"So what do you want for finding it? A medal?" His mother asked. "Where the hell did you find it?"

"In orbit around a planet from Michnar IX." Daniels said.

"So, you sent me a sock from outer space." His mother said.

"Yes." Daniels said.

"You actually chartered a flight from Typhon, to Earth, and had them hand deliver a sock to me. Why?" His mother demanded.

"Because I didn't destroy it! An intertemporal wormhole sucked it out of our dryer, and put it in orbit around a planet!" Daniels exclaimed.

"So..." His mother said, with a strange look on her face.

"So I want an apology!" Daniels exclaimed.

"Really?" His mother said, with a burst of laughter.

"And send it back, too! It's important. Make sure Danielle sees it first." Daniels said.

"I worry about you, kid." His mother said. The screen went blank.

"You better send the damn sock." Daniels muttered.
