Mission: Shades of Gray
Location: Guest Quarters

ON

Damion and Maron walked down the corridor towards the Guest Quarters where Maralena was being held. "Give me a run down of what the file on her says and what exactly happened, Ruka" He said as he looked over to her as they approached the doors, guarded by two security officers.

"How am I supposed to know, we both just arrived aboard," Ruka said then grabbed the PaDD from her hip holster pocket and quickly accessed the ship's logs. She found an entry that has the Captain and someone from the surface, ~probably Maralena, yeah that's her,~ Ruka thought as she reprogrammed the PaDD to display the transcript of the conversation.

Ruka smiled. "Okay... Okay, okay," she offered the PaDD and highlighted the parts Damion needed. "Here," she said.

He took the PaDD from her and started to look over the highlighted parts. "You need to learn to anticipate my requests, not only that but throw your own ideas at the same time. I want a thinker not a secretary. Your title may mean your assist me, but I would rather you help me. You see something I don't, bring it up. You have an idea that you feel will work better then one of mine, bring it up. Its called Intelligence for a reason, Maron." They stood outside the doors as Damion looked back at the PaDD.

"A thinker, right." Ruka nodded. "Aye sir," she said, "though you should know I'm not a telepath or empath so you will need to help me to learn how to anticipate your requests until I get the hang of it as we have just met."

"I know, Ruka. As we go your gonna pick up on what I expect and what to anticipate." He nodded to the security guards and smiled. "Chief of Intelligence and assistant here to speak to Miss Maralena, Gentlemen. Please step aside."

Ruka nodded to the guards as they stepped aside and followed Damion closer to the door. She tapped the chime.

Lumina was stretched out on the couch. This place was far more luxurious than her home on Michnar VII. She wondered where they acquired the technology and if she could take any of it back home with her. When the door chimed, she got up and walked to the door. There should be a doorknob somewhere... "How do I open the door?" she asked.

The computer chirped in response and the door opened.

"Evening, Miss Maralena." He said as he walked in with Ruka. "My name is Lieutenant Wolfe and this is my assistant Ensign Maron. We would like to ask you a few questions please." Damion spoke in a nice voice to her as he allowed himself to pick up surface thoughts from her mind as he spoke. As they walked in his hit the button to the doors as they closed and locked. Watch her closely, Ruka He spoke to her telepathically as he walked away from her toward the replicator. "I hope you haven't been mistreated. Would you care for something to eat or drink. Sometimes it policy to lock out a replicators functions to hostel guests, however this option varies from ship to ship." Keep an eye on her gestures and motions. Never lose track of her actions but keep in mind to appear as if your not watching. Quite often they will do one thing to throw off someone who is keeping an eye on them he said again as he relayed another message to Ruka in her mind.

"I've been treated well," she said, wondering what they were doing here. "Would it not be correct for me to ask you if you wanted something?" Although she barely understood how the machine worked. At least if she spoke it responded. That made things a lot easier. Still she wondered how it operated.

"Yes, you would be right if you hadn't caused such a ruckus here. You see I just got here a few hours or so ago and I read the report, but I would rather hear it from you. Coffee, Black." He spoke clearly into the replicator as it replicated him a cup of coffee. He took it and took a quick sip as he turned and walked back to her. "You will have to excuse me, I haven't had anything since I left my last ship. I need a bit of a wake up call. So please sit down, Miss Maralena or do you prefer, Lumina?"

"Lumina is fine," she said. "But I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't caused any ruckus. I'm here seeking help."

"If that were true, Lumina. You wouldn't be here, under guard now would you? Something must have happened between you and Captain York or her to put you in the brig and then move you to secured quarters." Damion said softly as he allowed himself to pick up her surface thoughts and emotions, to pick up if she was lying or not.

"I was never in the brig. I was in a contained area while your two officers and I were checked for the virus that killed my brother. I am not confined here, either. I am here awaiting another meeting with someone who will listen to me and help me get rid of the people who currently hold my planet hostage." She gave Wolfe a cool stare. "You should get your facts straight before you accuse people of things they never did."
