Stran was careful to use the word I, implying that Lieutenant Kyt would not be in charge of that investigation, as, given the situation as it stood, he wasn't sure that the implication of her doing so would stand to public scrutiny.

"I don't think we'll need an SCIS investigator. We should be quite capable of finding someone on the ship to take care of that if necessary. I would like you involved, but it might also be good to have someone who could observe and infiltrate." She looked at Preston for confirmation.
"I think that the investigation should be handled by as few obviously tactical personnel as possible. It sends the wrong message." Preston pondered aloud.
"I would then, instead, recommend Ensign Daniels. He's a natural actor at pretending to be something he is not." Stran said, dryly.
Sam almost choked on her milk. She set the glass down quickly and tried not to laugh. "I'll make a note to talk to Ensign Daniels later."
Noelle listened "What are you expecting from the Marines?" She asked leaning back in her chair and taking in the mood in the room.
Chichire's ears perked up some to Noelle's question, as she was interested to know what she was going to be doing.
"I'd like the Marines and security to guard the supplies. We don't know what's going on right now, but from what we know now, you need to make sure the supplies don't disappear and no one gets hurt. You have a delicate balance to maintain. Keep the supplies safe without killing any civilians." Sam didn't usually get that specific, but after Turkana IV she felt it necessary to clarify the matter.
Chichire let out a sigh without even realizing it.
"It will be done." Stran said, in a cool tone.
Leo looked at Chi this time. "Our weapons are going to be on Stun alone, and no slug throwers. I know you're a good shot Corporal, but I think its time we played this one the right way. I have need for riflemen, not snipers this time."
"Roger sir, but one request sir my specialty is range that were I'm most effective let me stay far back as over watch and pleas let me bring my weapon as strictly last case scenario sir I prepare with one thing in mind and that Murphy's law sir."
Noelle listened as Chi spoke and waited to see what Leo said. She was already making a mental list of what they were going to need.
Doctor Bowen finished her small breakfast, listening to the conversation taking place with the security and the marines. She pushed her plate to the side and looked at the Captain. "I want to know more information on the planet-wide epidemic...what does it really mean of epidemic? A virus breakout?"
"We're not sure. From what little we've been told it's a harmless viral outbreak, but I want to do some scans when we get there. YOu may need to find out for yourself," Sam said.
"Will we have access to their facilities or will we need to set up a temporary hospital?" Damon asked.
"Definitely," Leanne said to the Captain. She wondered about Damon's questiion, "maybe we won't know until we get there. I will certainly have the supplies ready in case we do have to set up a temporary hospital."
Leo looked at Chi and shook his head. He wasn't going to interrupt this next point, but then again, she always wanted to sit back. Its time that she learns to be part of more than just a two man team. I'm going to have her leading one of the squads... he thought to himself.
Chi caught Leo shaking his head at her and from her experience with him that was a no to her request but he keep's forgetting a true sniper is a expert marksmen as a rifleman she thought to her self and just shot a cold smile back at him
Noelle was acutely aware of the nonverbal language between Chi and Leo. She wondered if this had something to do with an earlier conversation that she had. She'd speak with the Major after this meeting.
Serena listened to what was going on before she stated, "I can volunteer one of my pilots to take the medical team down to the surface." Then she looked at the Doctor, "She has better Medical training than me. So I figured she could help you while you down there."
Preston, frustrated with the endless debate and chatter, sighed softly to himself.
Doctor Bowen returned the look at Serena and nodded.
"If at all possible," Damon started "I think it would also be a good idea to employ our fighters in recon runs over our AO. If the government is tight lipped despite our help I would think it prudent to start piecing together our own picture."
