[Sickbay Office]
Doctor Bowen remained in her office after she gave out promotions to Doctor Hart, Barbara Tarango, and Yvette Jaynes. Something else was missing and she couldn't figure out what it was that was nagging her. She picked up the PADD to glance at the schedule.
Helga Lowe! She thought as she picked up on one nurse that was left out.
Leanne picked up another PADD to glance at the nurse's database and read her profile. She's due for a promotion, too. She immediately hit her combadge to call her to the office.
Helga was sterilizing various pieces of equipment when her combadge chirped. She finished the last batch and headed for Doctor Bowen's office. "You called, ma'am?"
"Yes, have a seat."
Hel sat down and looked expectantly at the doctor. "What can I do for you, ma'am?" she asked.
Leanne pulled a closed box out of her desk and handed it to her. "Open it."
Helga took the box and looked inside. "For me?" she asked, surprised.
"Congraduations. You are now a Senior Chief Petty Officer. I have given most of the crewmembers in sickbay a raise for good conduct and length of experience," Leanne gave her a smile.
"Thank you." Hel wasn't quite sure what to expect. She honestly thought she stayed under the radar as she often worked gamma shift. With brisk efficiency she changed her pips. "Is there anything specific you'd like me to be doing?"
"Continue on what you have been doing. We are expecting two new crewmembers to sickbay...a surgeon and a nurse. I will be making some changes to the schedule, so you might see some changes. Other than that," she paused to smile, "things are looking good. You have any questions or concerns?"
"No. Two new people will be nice. Especially with the new mission." Hel had read the recent report about their new destination. "If that's all, ma'am, I'll get back to sterilizing."
"Sure...you are dismissed." Leanne watched her get up and leave the office. Looking forward to meet the new crewmembers, she thought as looked down at the paperwork in front of her. She shook her head, "Paperwork never ends."
