Mission: Prelude: Blowing away the Cobwebs
Location: Holodeck 2
Timeline: Current

ON:

Warrant Officer Eve Gianni looked at the pictures in the personnel file and took a guess.
She told the replicator what she wanted and the items soon appeared. She carefully placed all items in the box and wrapped the box with a bow. Eve then departed her quarters in route to Main Engineering. Once she arrived, she approach the Chief Engineer's Office and knocked on the door.

Alex cradled her head as she tried to get to work. Perhaps she'd had too much to drink last night because her brain felt like it was about to explode. She'd definitely have to pay a visit to sickbay later. The door chimed, and she tried her best to wrangle her hair out of her face. "Come in." She groaned softly.

Eve entered the office and saw Alex there, not looking too well. "Oh my, are you alright? This is for you." Eve handed Alex the box.

She looked at it for a long while, then forced a smile as she took it.

Once Alex opened the box, she found a note from Chris.

"Hello Alex, I hope you are having a wonderful day. If you are human like I am, there is a hypo in here that will help with any hangover. My head was splitting this morning from all the wine we drank last night. I really had a good time with you and would like to see you again after your shift is over. I would like to have fun with you and have dinner. Hope to see you there......

Other Items Alex found i the box was a single fresh rose and when she pulled it out a snug fitting Flight Suit.

Before Alex could say anything Eve was gone from Engineering.

She pressed the hypospray to her neck violently, then sagged on her desk.

At 1230pm a small basket materialized on Alex's desk with a note on it. "

Holodeck 2, 1700 hours. I know you are busy, have a good lunch, Chris."

In the basket was a heavenly hamburger with fries and a sealed container with iced Tea.

She did indeed enjoy the lunch, and felt alot better after the hypospray. She continued working thorough the day, supervising and filling out reports. It was a long day, and she would be glad when they were out of spacedock, but for now, she needed to prepare for tonight.

She left for her quarters when her shift was over. She quickly undressed, hopped into the shower, and then looked for something to wear. She found a long green silk dress that had a collar which traveled down to her bellybutton. It barely covered anything. She quickly threw it back into the closet, shaking her head..she couldn't even walk down the corridor in that. Instead, she went with something comfortable rather than dressy. She put on a pair of form fitting white jean shorts and a blue shirt that was little more than a bra in reality.

She then began looking for a swimsuit. She searched again for something appropriate. She pulled out a pink one piece that was only a very narrow connected piece of cloth that varied in size in important places. It left very little to the imagination, so she through it back in. She then brought out a black two piece. She threw it in her bag, and stepped into a pair of black sandals, then left for the holodeck.

Chris was waiting outside of the holodeck in a pair of khaki cargo shorts ans a tank-top. Once he saw her approaching his jaw dropped in what he could only imagine was a pretty stupid look on his face, after all he was a normal warmblooded guy. Once she arrived he look her hand once more and brought it up to his lips, giving it a soft kiss. His fought the urge to take her in his arms and kiss her passionately. She had been really growing on him. "You look fantastic, Did you bring your Flight Suit?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Uh oh...I forgot." She laughed. "I did bring a swim suit though...could I fly without a suit?" She looked up to the man. He was just under a foot taller than her.

"Sure, it's just a program. You are welcome to wear whatever you like and that includes bathing suits." Chris grinned and input the commands into the holodeck, "Chris..Valkyrie1" The computer responded with, "Enter when ready."

As the couple stepped into the holodeck, they found themselves on a Fighter hanger on a Akira class Star ship. "Would you like to change or are you comfortable in what you are wearing?" Chris was very pleased with her choice of clothing, she always looked amazing and now was no different.

"I don't' see a reason for changing unless we'll be going swimming." She laughed. "So whats' the deal here? Are we each getting in separate fighters cause I don't think there's room for two..."

Chris grinned. "We can go swimming after if you like. That's the beauty of the Valkyrie, its a two seat. A pilot and a gunner sit tandem. Would you like to fly or blow things up?"

She thought for a second. "Both are very alluring choices.....i think I'll fly."

"Cool, come on over." Chris took he hand and let her to the front of the fighter. He enjoyed holding her hand and would any chance he had. As the canopy rose, he took the helmet that was hanging and put it on her head gently, adjusting it. "There you go, perfect." Chris leaned to her quickly and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. He helped her get into the pilot seat which was the back seat in a tandem seated fighter. A fresh single red rose lay in the Pilots seat. Alex had to move it to sit down.

She climbed in and smelled the rose. "Awe! This is so sweet!...but this thing is going to give me helmet hair." She said smiling as she looked over the controls. They were far more manual than she was used to, but she would manage.

'I think a nice swim afterwards will take care of your hair." Chris leaned over her very close tempted to give her another kiss as he strapped her in. Giving in, he gave her another soft kiss. Leaning back out, "Well, it looks like you are all set." Chris put his helmet on and climbed into the gunners seat before strapping in. With a push of the button, the canopy closed. "Okay Alex, take us out."

Alex activated the thrusters and the fighter lifted from the ground roughly. She then eased it forward slowly. "This definitely isn't like flying a ship or a shuttle for that matter." She said as she cautiously brought the fighter through the doors.

"Okay, I have a target bearing 110 mark 25." Alex began to bank the fighter and brought the nose up a little. Once they were in range, Chris began to fire phasers. The small ship exploded in a ball of fire. "Next target is 220 mark 0." Alex turned one more time, closing in on the target. After a phaser blast it too disappeared.

When they'd finished, Alex eased the fighter back into the bay and brought it to a rough landing. She removed her helmet as the canopy opened and took a deep breath. "I'm not sure I liked that too much."

"Its okay." Chris said, removing his helmet. "I will fly next time and get your blood pumping. If flying doesn't do it for you, I will think of something that will." Chris said with a grin.

She climbed out of the fighter and onto the floor. "Now, how about that swimming?" She said, lifting her bag.

Chris taking off his helmet smiled. "I don't have any swimming trunks." Chris climbed out of the fighter. "Computer, tropical paradise 1." The computer chirped and the surroundings were that of a Tropical island. The couple were near a fresh water, water fall with a clean pool of water, perfect for swimming. All types of tropical birds chirped in the distance. A light cool breeze blew in from the north as the sun was high in the sky indicating lots of daylight left. Chris went behind a rock and removed his clothes. Running, he jumped into the water with a very large splash. After he surfaced he looked at Alex, "Are you coming?"

She laughed with her hand over her mouth. "I think I'm going to have to change first!" She walked behind a bush with her bag and quickly changed into her bikini. She then ran as he did and jumped into the clear blue water. The water was just the right temperature and gave a bit of relief from the hot temperature of the environment. "I guess I don't have to worry about my hair anymore." She said breathely as she swam toward him.

Chris began to slowly swim towards Alex. "Nope, your hair looks perfect."

"Thank you.", she said, beginning to tread water.
