Location: Main Engineering
Timeline: Soon after New Chief Flight Control Officer

ON:

Serena stood in the turbolift making her way down to the shuttlebays, but then an idea popped in her head. Why not take a trip down in Engineering. She had to get know the workings of a ship that she was going fly around in endless space. At her last ship she was on, she was good friends with the CEO. She even remembered he would modify warp core so she could fly the ship a little faster. But she didn't expect the CEO on this ship to do such things, but neither the less it would be nice to get to know the CEO and the insides that make this ship work.

She quickly changed her point of distenation and ended up on the floor were main engineering was. Walking off the turbo lift, she walked all the way down to the doors of main engineering. Walking threw, she quickly asked an officer were he CEO was located so she could talk to them. The offier pointed out a Klingon working over a control panel. Serena said thanks and made her way over to the massave Warrior. It wasn't the first time Serena had ever seen a klingon before, actually she loved the race in it self. Reaching him she said with athority, "Are you the Chief of Engineering?"

Kahlaras turned around to see the woman, a Lieutenant."Yes I am,Lieutenant Commander Kahlaras. who are you?" he asked

Serena bowed showing repect and stated, "I'm Lt. Serena Jones the ships new Chief Flight Control Officer. I like to know the workings of the ship I'm flying. You know truly understand her."

"I see what you mean.. What would you like to know."

Serena smiled at him and stated, "Everything that you feel is important for me to know."

"Well after running diagnostics I saw that the engine output was tweaked a little bit to give us more speed at warp. A little dangerous if you ask me but I like the idea I won't be changing that so you will have your speed Lieutenant. I'll even throw in an impulse speed boost. I also noticed that there is a 3 micron shift in one of the port lateral thrusters were you aware of this?"

"No not yet," she giggled alittle, "I just came aboard a half hour ago. I haven't even sat down in the helms station yet, regreatably. But that's nice to know. Is there something we can do about it or do I need to compensate for it?"

"I can align the thruster in the proper direction by 3 microns and that should fix it. I'll also see if I can't boost the output of the navigational array a little so you can see a little bit further ahead of us."

"Wow you'd do that for me? That is very thoughtful. Do you need any help with it. Granted I only know the basics down here from school but still would mind?," she asked him.

"If you wish to assist me you may but it is quite simple it would only take me a few minutes to do."

"Well if it isn't going to take long then I think you can handle it being a big strong Klingon like yourself," she joked. Then she just remembered she had to go meet some one else on this ship as well before her shift started.

"I'm sorry to cut this short Lt. Commander but I have another engagement to attend to if you don't mind," she smiled to him hoping not to offend him

"I am Klingon, I take no offense."

"Well it was nice to meet you, sir and hope to see you again," she stated sweetly.

"Likewise." He said with a slight nod.

Serena nodded her head and turned around and left Engineering and headed down to her appointment that needed attending to.
