"Lieutenant Tovan!"
Delon slowed down his pace until coming to a full stop. He turned around to face the person calling him. It was Morgan. She had picked up her pace in order to catch up with Delon but once he had stopped she slowed down to her normal pace until reaching him than stopped.
"Yes Lieutenant Morgan?" Delon asked looking at Morgan.
"Madam Onasi has been escorted to the transporter room. I beamed her back down to her palace myself." Morgan reported.
Delon nodded. He motioned forward as he started walking once again. "Good. She should feel better now that she is back among her people and in her own palace."
Morgan nodded. "Yes, she seemed very excited that she was returning back home."
The two of them walked up to the lift. The doors opened and the two of them stepped inside the lift. Delon was heading to the bridge and Morgan was heading to her quarters.
"Ensign Miyazaki reports that the Alliance has recalled its troops back to base. The Coalition is still at communication silence but we suspect that they will do the same soon. It looks like the war will have to wait another day." Morgan said as she looked over at Delon.
"It does seem that way Lieutenant. Good thing too. This planet has had a lot of death and destruction in its past it doesn't need more." Delon stated looking at Morgan.
"Do you think there will be peace now?" Morgan asked.
"It's tough to tell. I believe that Madam Onasi is willing to talk peace but the Grand Marshal is a very stubborn man. It could take some time for them to learn to exist in peace with one another." Delon responded.
"The more time they spend talking the less time they will have to kill each other." Morgan stated.
Delon nodded. "Indeed."
"James tells me that the Commander looked in very good shape and spirits when she was beamed aboard the vessel." Morgan said.
"Yes, she did appear that way. I am actually heading to the bridge right now to take command of the vessel while Commander York and Major Raine celebrate in her quarters."
Morgan looked away and smiled. She had never been aboard a vessel nor had she ever heard of a Commanding Officer and Executive Officer having a relationship like the one Samantha and Damon share. It was strange. "Good for them." She said as she looked back at Delon.
The lift came to a stop and the doors opened. They were on deck nine. This was Morgan's stop.
"Well, this is me." She said as she took a step closer to the exit. "Have a good evening Lieutenant."
"You too Lieutenant." Delon responded.
Morgan stepped out of the lift and turned around to face Delon. She started at him for a moment or two. Delon looked back at her. It was as if she had something more to say but couldn't find the right words to do so or the courage. She simply smiled at him and nodded before turning around and heading down the corridor. The lift doors closed and Delon headed to the bridge.
