[USS Calypso - VIP Quarters - Deck 3]
Lumiya stood in the door way of her quarters after Tovan showed her in and left. Her eyes wondered from the far end of the quarters to the other side. She let out a sigh. The quarters were nice but they were nowhere near what she had grown accustom to at the Onasi Palace. She looked shamefully at the ground as she realized that over the years she had been spoiled living at the Palace.
She had grown accustom to things that others weren't privileged to have. She had become something that long ago she used to despise. She shook her head gently. The wound in the back of her neck sent a sharp pain down her spine. She closed her eyes allowing the pain to pass.
After the pain passed she opened her eyes looking around her new home again. She sighed again. She wondered over to the door leading into the other room. She looked inside. On the left side of the room was a window, under the window was a king size bed along with several drawers along the wall.
She looked over to the right. A smile light up her face as she noticed another door which was opened from her point of view she could see that it was a bathroom. It was a decent size bathroom at that. It came with a tub. However, the smile vanished from her face as she walked to the bed and took a seat on the edge. She placed her hands in her lap and stared off.
In the past day or so there has been so much that has happened. She honestly didn't even know where to begin processing it all. Commander York and Grand Marshal had been kidnapped by an unknown group. The Coalition was in a certain political chaos that could possibly lead to a civil war which would throw the planet into another planet wide war.
She had been taken from her office by Starfleet without permission. She wasn't exactly sure how she was going to deal with that certain issue; she had other business she had to deal with. She wanted to know what exactly that device that they found in the back of her neck was. She wanted to know just how it got there in the first place.
There was that sharp pain again the one she felt when she first stepped into the quarters. She didn't know what was causing it. It could have been that the medicine was wearing off. In all honesty it really didn't matter the reason behind it. All she knew was that it was extremely painful; she curled up in the fetal position and closed her eyes.
The pain slowly but surely disappeared like the pervious time. She found herself tired as she laid there. There wasn't anything else for her to do but wait. She hated waiting. As each moment passed her mind began to slowly shut off. She started to fall asleep. Soon enough she was in the first stage of the sleep cycle.
As she slept on the bed she began to dream. However, there was a lot more to these dreams than your standard dreams that humanoids have. These dreams were memories. They were flashes back into the past. The device that she had been wearing had hidden these memories away. Now, that the device had been removed there was nothing to guard those memories from coming to the surface. They were beginning to flow like a wild river. It was intense, but not harmful or painful in any shape or form.
Her eyes snapped open and she quickly sat up. She was sweating. Her expression was emotionless and blank. It was the same expression that any individual would have after being woken up in the middle of the night by a horrifying nightmare.
She stumbled out of the bed and into the living room of the quarters. She made a wild dash for the replicator and ordered an ice cold glass of water. As soon as the replicator had dispensed the glass of water she had grabbed it and gulped it down. She let the empty glass to slip out of her hand. It fell to the ground shattering into hundreds of pieces. She didn't pay any attention to it but stumbled back to the bedroom.
The sudden flow of memories caused a shock to her system. She entered an emotional stage. She was unsure how to deal with it. What to do with the memories? There was so many that had been hidden away. She couldn't make sense of them. She wasn't even sure if they were real. It all seemed like a really bad dream. It seemed like a dream that you just couldn't wake up from no matter how hard you tried.
She looked to the bathroom. The tub was inviting. She pushed herself off the wall and towards the bathroom. She caught herself from falling by the wall next to the bathroom door and with the help of the wall she guided herself into the bathroom. She managed to get to the edge of the tube. She told the computer to turn on the water. A nice warm bath to relax she figured would do her some good and allow her to sink back to reality. The computer complied and began filling the tub.
Lumiya pushed herself up onto her feet. She looked at herself in the mirror for a moment. She didn't like what she saw. It was as if she was the walking dead. She seemed very pale. She turned away as the computer informed her that the tub was ready.
She turned to face the tub then realized that she was still dressed. A chuckle escaped her as she almost stepped into the tub fully dressed. She kicked off her high heels towards one end of the bathroom. That was followed by the jacket and the blouse that had been covering her top. Next she wiggled out of her pants. She tossed her clothes in the direction of her heels. Now she stood almost fully exposed.
She leaned down to touch the water. It was nice warm water. The computer had done a good job of following her instructions of the temperature and level of the water. She unhooked her bra and tossed it to the side. Next she wiggled out of her panties and tossed those aside as well.
She slowly and gently lifted her left foot up and placed it over the water before placing it in the water. There was a slight wince as her foot entered the water. It was the initial shock of the warm water against her skin. She quickly got use to it and in no time she lowered herself into a sitting position in the tub.
The steamy water began to relax her body as she leaned her back onto the back of the tub. She placed a towel on the edge and leaned her head on it with her eyes closed. Her mind had finally begun to settle. She was starting to make sense of everything. The events were playing in her mind as if they were a movie. She couldn't believe how foolish she had been.
There was also the matter that she was now on the Calypso enjoying a nice warm bath while the people of the nation could be in deep trouble. She knew that she had to get off the vessel and get back to her people. She just wasn't sure how she was going to accomplish that task.
Maybe if she talked to Delon he would let her go back to the planet. What if he refused? She wondered if she could demand it. What if she threatened him with some type of protest because he had taken her without her permission? But then if he hadn't done that she would still be down there clueless to anything that she has learned up to this point.
She allowed her mind to wonder in various directions as she enjoyed the remainder of her bath. The water had always been a calming factor in her life and this time was no different. She was relaxed and feeling well once again. As the water started to cool down she stood up allowing herself to drip dry for a moment before grabbing a towel.
As the water began to drain from the tub she dried her hair and her body. Once she was satisfied that she wouldn't leave a trail of water behind herself once she stepped out of the tub she grabbed the silk robe that had been hanging next to the rub. She gently wrapped it around herself and tied it in the front as she stepped out of the tub.
