[USS Calypso - Transporter Room 3]
Delon stepped off the turbolift and headed down the corridor. As he was approaching the transporter room from one side of the corridor Morgan was approaching it from the other side. The two of them met at the door at the same time and walked in at the same time as well.
James looked up from the console and saw the two of them standing there. The first thing that ran through his mind was what he had done now. It was never good when both the Chief and Assistant Chief came to the transporter room. He started to think of things that he might have done wrong and how to explain them. "I can explain, really I can."
Delon raised an eye brow ever so slightly but didn't comment on what James said. Instead he pulled out a PADD and handed it to James. "I need you to scan those coordinates; you should detect a comm badge in the area."
Morgan held back a laugh. She was amused at how James reacted when he saw both of them in the transporter room. But when Delon handed James a PADD she looked at him curiously. She didn't know what was going on or who the person was that they were obviously going to beam up to the ship.
James did as he was instructed and it was like Delon had said. "I am picking up a comm badge at the coordinates, sir."
"Good...Scan the area around the individual; we need to make sure that they are alone before we initiate the transport." Delon added. He needed to make sure that Lumiya was alone before they beamed her to the vessel. He didn't want them to find out that she was gone right away.
"What's going on, sir?" Morgan asked looking at Delon.
Delon looked to Morgan. He did call her to transporter room. She did deserve some type of expiation to what was going on. "I am going to beam up Madam Onasi to the vessel. Our conversation over subspace didn't go as well as I had hoped it would."
Morgan looked at Delon in a bit of a shock. She couldn't believe that he was about to beam up the leader of one of the territories without their permission. "You are going to beam up the leader of Alliance without their permission? You can't do that. That's kidnapping! You are going to get into major trouble."
"Madam Onasi could hold valuable information to what is happening with the Coalition as well as whereabouts of Commander York I intend to find out what she knows." Delon said as he looked at Morgan.
"But you can't just take her without asking her. It's against regulations." Morgan protested. She wanted to know as much as everyone else where Commander York was but they couldn't start breaking rules in order to find out. There were steps they had to take. Regulations were in place for a reason.
"Sir, I have scanned the area. There is no one else but her in the area." James interrupted as he had finished his scans of the area like he was instructed to do.
"I'll take the controls now Mr. Munro." Delon said as James moved to the side and Delon stepped in his place. He looked over to Morgan who was still looking at him. "I will take full responsibility for these actions." He said before looking down at the controls. He initiated the transport.
"I'm picking up some type of foreign device on her that is active." Delon stated as the console began to beam. "I'm deactivating it." After pressing a couple of more buttons the transport proceeded without another issue.
Lumiya was now standing in the transporter pad, but not for long. It seemed that as soon as she was beamed in she collapsed down on the pad. Delon ran around the console to her. He felt for her pulse. He could also hear and feel her breathing. "Emergency transport to Sickbay."
James moved back to the console and beamed Delon and Lumiya to sickbay. He looked over to Morgan. "What was that all about?"
She shrugged her shoulders. This might end up being more trouble than it was worth. She didn't agree with the decision to bring Lumiya to the ship but she didn't much choice in the matter. "I'm not sure. I'm going to sickbay." Morgan stated than turned around and left.
James exhaled and smiled. "At least I didn't get in trouble this time..."
