Leo tapped his badge abnd groggily answered that he'd be there. Reaching out he grabbed a cup of cold water, throwing it on his face, then grabbing a pipping hot coffee he almost ran from the room. It was odd that he needed to be briefed on anything, he wasn't exactly on the ships list of people to go to. Sipping coffee as one runs isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but Leo managed as he passed several crew members and a large number of Security. That made him raise an eyebrow, but he didn't say anything. Getting to the doors of the conference room, Leo stopped and stepped in smoothly. "Lieutenant Mangalia reporting? The Major said he needed to have me here?" Keeping his comm link open was easy, he had never shut it off after the transmissions to Raine."Or do I not want to know whats going on?"

Jason finally reached the conference room and sighed when he didn't see any female marines. He nodded at Leo and glanced at the executive officer, "Ensign Hart reporting in as I was on the away team." He took an empty seat, feeling like he just became an important person. This was his first time reporting to a conference meeting.
Doctor Leanne Bowen appeared two minutes after Doctor Hart and took a seat next to him. "Doctor Bowen reporting for this meeting," she said sounding nasal as if her nose was stopped up.
Jason glanced at the doctor next to him and whispered, "Are you okay? Did you catch something?"
She wanted to ignore him. "Might be an allergy," Leanne said, keeping it simple.
I don't think so..., he thought of saying to her, but decided to ask about it later as this is not the place to do so. Doctor Hart looked across the table at Leo who appears to be half asleep. Then, he looked to the Commander who appears to be worried about something. Something doesn't seem right here...where is the Captain? He has been known to jump to conclusions, but he wondered about what this meeting is going to be about. He kept quiet to wait for the others to arrive.
Lieutenant Jaxara walked in with a cup of coffee. He was glaring at a PADD. He was mumbling to himself. "No warning. Brilliantly planned attack on the power plant, seconds before the assault." He shook his head. "And no non-federation transporter use." He looked up, and nodded to the collection of people present. "Don't worry. I'm not armed." He deadpanned.
Doctor Hart looked at the Chief Security officer that just walked in and chuckled at his words that appeared to sound like a joke.
Leo looked at him and shook his head. "I don't think any of us are. Is everyone here? Or are we waiting on someone else to show up." Sipping his coffee again, he set it down ion the table.
Doctor Bowen gave a short smile as she looked at the Marine Executive Officer, "It doesn't look like everybody is here yet." She remembered his visit to sickbay a couple of weeks back with an holodeck incident, "How is your shoulder?"
"Still hurts, but that's nothing new," shrugging he stretched the offending appendage. "We never heal exactly right, Marines are always too busy to lay down and wait for something to happen."
Doctor Hart looked over at the marine before he glanced at Leanne. "What have you been giving him? A bunch of herbs?" Jason has known her to be using stuff outside of medicine and knew that she has some kind of expertise in herbology. He disagrees of using stuff that is not taught in medical school. He looked back at the marine, "Of course, the marines always have problems of a repetition of an injury. We heal them...they get hurt again...and it repeats."
"Ensign, zip it up," Doctor Bowen said as she crossed her arms.
"Yes, ma'am," Jason said with a short smile.
Leo chuckled as he looked at the two doctors. "No, its the simple fact that I keep moving the arm and shoulder after being repeatedly told not to. It doesn't bother me, and I know that a hypo or maybe some other tookl you have up your sleeve will calm the pain down if it flares again."
Jason nodded at the marine executive and looked over at Karma sitting in a chair that must be the Captain's spot. He watched him glancing over his PADD, taking a sip out of his mug, and looked at each person in the room. Doctor Hart yawned as he looked down at his own PADD, wishing that he could play a chess game on it. He doesn't like the waiting game here is why he wanted to do something else than sitting here. He looked over at the chief security officer, sitting across the table from him, and wondered if he always keeps to himself with not being very social with others. A straightforward person, he thought as he watched him for a minute. He has met him once or twice in sickbay only with a short conversation. Jason averted his eyes back to the Commander as he heard the sound of someone clearing their throat.
Karma stood and looked around the room. "The Captain has been kidnapped," he said. "Major Raine has more details." He turned to the vidscreen showing the Major. Just then the color drained from his face and he dropped to the floor, unconscious.
Damon was looking at the PADD in his hand displaying the real time image of Karma collapsing at the head of the table. His mouth was left open as he was about to start briefing the remaining department heads of the situation; it was suddenly clamped shut at the scene unfolding before him.
"What the hell is going on?" He demanded as his emotional reserves and frustration began to reach their limits. "Doctor?" He looked to Lieutenant Bowen.
Doctor Hart witnessed the Commander falling to the floor. He jumped out of his chair and rushed over as Doctor Bowen came behind him. Jason kneeled next to the Commander's head and placed his fingers on his neck to feel for a carotid pulse. He looked up just as Leanne kneeled to take the Karma's wrist to check for a pulse. "No pulse," he said.
Jason looked up at the screen at Major Raine, "I don't know Major...no time to talk. We will let you know." He moved over to the side of Karma's chest and started chest compressions with both of his hands together, pushing the sternum of the ribs to get the heart pumping.
Doctor Bowen hit her combadge, "Bowen to transporter...emergency transport for 3 to sickbay...Commander Sinclair is down and include Doctor Hart for the transport."
"Yes, ma'am," a reply from the combadge.
All 3 of them materialized out of the conference room without any delay.
Leo looked from where the three men dematerialized and up to the screen. "I vote this be called on account of people dropping Major."
Ronnie, who had been quiet up 'till now, looked at Leo. "We can at least find out where we go from here before we're dismissed." She turned to Major Raine, who was now in charge. "What do you want us to do, sir?"
Damon sighed heavily and ran his hand through his hair. When he agreed to take up the position of Second Officer he had never considered the possibility of being in command. Thinking about it now, this possibility should have been on his mind a lot sooner.
"Alright. As some of you know the Captain has been kidnapped along with the Coalition's Grand Marshal. The room was assaulted by highly skilled and trained troops who knew what they were doing. We were gassed, so only minimal injuries reported from the people remaining in the room."
He looked at the expressions of everyone sitting at the table, trying to gauge the reactions of those who hadn't yet heard the news.
"Leroy, I want you on the planet as soon as possible with Charlie Company. We need to set up and make our presence known. We won't leave anyone thinking they can just kidnap one of ours and get away with it. Step on toes if you have to, just don't make a diplomatic incident going about it."
"Kaj, I want the skies to be busy. Deploy fighters and have them running formations, just be careful in whose airspace you fly."
"Lorne, the Marines down here are sorting out the stories of the security staff in charge of this building. I want your team in charge of sorting out the information as it comes to you. It is likely that there might be co-conspirators still on site. In addition, I want to know if any of the ships up there have behaved odd in the last half hour."
"Chief," He said finally as he looked over to Shalie. "the repairs on the ship need to be stepped up double time. We might need the Caly to be ready for a fight again soon and I don't want a handicap going into a fight."
"In addition to those orders, is there anything you can think of that might help?" He asked the whole room. He was very limited in knowledge when it came to anything outside his own expertise and he was hoping the others might have some ideas to offer that he hadn't considered.
Tovan stepped into the room where the meeting was taking place. He had just been informed of the situation with the Executive officer and beamed up to the vessel as soon as he heard about it. He stepped in the room with Lt. Faye just as Major Raine was finishing his last sentence. "Operations has been monitoring the communications on the planet, we are also scanning the planet for any Betazoid life signs."
Doctor Hart came back to the meeting before it was over. Just as he stepped into the room, all eyes were on him. Jason went over to take his seat that was empty. He looked at Major Raine on the viewscreen. "I've returned...Commander Sinclair had a heart attack and he is stable for now. We won't know if there is any damage to any organs until after 24 to 48 hours."
"Science and Engineering are working on figuring out what we found on the surface. It's a device of some sort. We'll let you know if we find anything," Ronnie informed them.
"Good, keep an eye on the device but make finding he Captain your chief priority." Damon next looked to the doctor "Ensign Hart, keep me appraised as to Karma's condition."
"Alright guys let's buckle down and work together to find them. Delon you have the con until I get back to the ship. Dismissed." With that Damon ended his transmission to the ship.
"Yes, sir," Jason said before the viewscreen went blank. He stood up and noticed concerned in some of the crewmember's eyes for the Commander. He picked up his PADD and head out the conference room to go back to sickbay.
Leo shook his head and stood, forgetting about his coffee on the table. -^-Charlie Company, Saddle Up! Full battle and double time it to Transporter three!-^-
