[New Paris, Turkana IV - Conference Room]

Lumiya took a deep breath. She held it for a moment than exhaled. She had remained sitting down while majority of the people in the conference room headed for the exits. She knew that this process wouldn't be an easy one. There was a lot of mistrust on both sides. She was willing to take a leap of faith in these matters, not only for her people but for the people of the planet. She had seen the destruction and sorrow that the conflict had caused not only to her people but to those of the Collision.

She had to find a way to prove that to the Grand Marshal but it wouldn't be easy. The Union had been a lot of people in the matter of stopping the conflict but she was starting to worry that maybe this time they might bitten off a lot more than they can chew.

Then there was the matter of Federation being present at these meetings. That was a mystery to her. What exactly was their role in this play that they seemed to be performing? She was starting to feel that the Union leaders had another motive. There was a plan that was set in motion, but what exactly was this plan she didn't know.

"Are you alright...?"

Lumiya looked up. She was greeted by a friendly face of one of her assistance. The room was almost completely emptied once she looked around. She had been lost in her own thoughts that she didn't even notice it. She noted the last Starfleet officer leaving the room. Her eyes travelled back to her assistant. "Yes, I'm quiet alright."

Lumiya stood up from her seat. She straightened out her outfit as she did and then headed for the door. Her assistance fell in behind her as they headed out the door that they entered the room. As they stepped into the corridor her smile grew. The officer she had noticed earlier didn't seem to be in a hurry in catching up to the rest of his party. She made sure that her pace was quick enough to where she could catch him and she did just that.

She put on a friendly smile as she came shoulder to shoulder with the officer. "You must be Lieutenant Tovan from the starship Calypso." She was more informed than she might have lead on. The truth was that she had a chance to review the list of those that would be attending the conference and this included those from Federation. The Alliance praised themselves on being well informed about everything.

Tovan looked over to the stunning leader of the Alliance and nodded. He noted all of her womanly features. An attractive woman she was, but there was more to her than just her looks. She carried herself very well. She played her role rather well. "That's correct. And you are Minister Lumiya Onasi of the Alliance. It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Onasi."

He had noted that she hurried from the conference room in order to catch up to him and start a conversation. The logical reason was that she hoped to gain information from him concerning the role that Federation and Starfleet were going to play here.

"You can call me, Lumiya." She said in a gentle soft tone. It was almost seductive in the way the words rolled off her tongue. She gently pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. She had used her womanly charms in the past to get information out of her male counterparts. However, she had no idea how hard that was going to be in this instance. "And the pleasure is all mine, Lieutenant."

Tovan nodded. "As you wish, Lumiya." He said looking at her with a smile. He was fully aware at this point in time at what she was trying to get at but he didn't want to seem rude so he played along. He was almost hopeful that by her trying to get information from him that he might be able to get some from her in return. "And you can call me Delon..."

She noted him returning her signals. It was looking rather good for her already and she felt pretty good about the situation. She flashed him a smile as their eyes met for a moment. She did find him an attractive male. After all, she was a woman and they do have their needs but she wasn't about to allow his good looks to get in the way of her finding out as much as she could. She started to slow down until coming to a complete stop. "Well, this is my door."

Tovan turned his head around and noticed the door behind him. He looked back to her and nodded. "It was nice chatting with you even if it was brief." He smiled at her and waited to see what exactly was going to be her next step. If he was a betting man he would put his money on that she would ask to see him again later. At least that seemed like the next logical step.

"It might have been brief but I did enjoy it." She found herself smiling and pushing that was strand of hair behind her ear again. She was starting to have butterflies in her stomach. She could take the floor in front of dozen of Generals and speak like it was nothing but standing here in front of this man made her weak at her knees.

"Farewall, Lumiya." Tovan said with a nod and turned to head down the corridor towards the door that he noticed his party leave through. He hoped to catch up with them soon or at least before Commander noticed that he was missing.

"Wait..." Lumiya said. She looked down at the ground for a moment. What are you doing...? Stay focused on what you have to do. She had to remind herself of her real goal here.

Tovan had stopped dead in his tracks and turned around to her once again.

"Would you be interested in joining me this evening for dinner?" Lumiya asked. She had seemed to regain her composure. Now that her mind was on her task, at least most of it she found it easier to talk and ask him without getting weak at the knees or without the butterflies in her stomach.

Tovan didn't respond right away. It looked as if he was thinking about it. There wasn't anything else for him to do this evening. And he was sure that the Commander wouldn't mind him going to dinner with Lumiya. She might slip and say something that she shouldn't. He looked to her finally and smiled. "I would be honored."

"Excellent..." Lumiya said with an exciting smile.

Lumiya informed Tovan of the time and place to where the dinner would take place. She also made sure to mention that it was dinner for two. Only him and her. They said their farewells to each other and parted only to come together for dinner at a later hour.
