"Ensign Owen can you please join us."

Allison looked up from the PADD towards the office from which the voice came from. She noticed Tovan sitting at his desk, and Morgan was sitting across from him in one of the chairs. She took a deep breath. She wondered what it was about. She began to wonder what she might have done wrong. She didn't think that she had done anything wrong. She reluctantly nodded to Tovan. "Sure..."

Allison placed the PADD down on the center table and headed towards the office. Once she entered Tovan had motioned to her to have a seat and she did just as she was instructed to do. Morgan looked at her briefly and smiled than turned her attention over to Tovan. Allison did the same, she looked to Tovan.

"There is a very delegate project that we need one of the best people in Operations to partake in. After numerous discussions we have come to a conclusion that in order to have the best running ship in the fleet the Operations has to be able to work with Engineering on day to day maintenance of the ship as well as special projects." Tovan began to explain.

Allison sat there quietly listening to what her chief had to say. She was wondering what exactly was this project that he had mentioned and why did he say he needed one of their best people for it. She never really considered herself to be one of the best.

"I am not certain if you have had a chance to read the report concerning the runaway lift. But to summarize the situation myself along with Chief Montgomery were inside a life when it decided to start a free fall towards the bottom of the ship. We had managed to stop it and since then it has been taken offline. We need to find out what caused the lift to act in this manner."

"Chief Montgomery and I have decided that this project would be the best opportunity for our two departments to come together and solve this mystery."

Allison had continued to listen to everything he had to say. "I understand sir, but what does this have to do with me?" She wanted to be completely clear on what she was being asked to do.

Morgan turned in her chair looking at Allison. "We are both in agreement that the best person to represent Operations in this situation would be you Allison. We would like you to report to Engineering to Chief Montgomery, she is assigning a team that will head down to retrieve the lift pod."

Allison looked puzzled at Tovan for a moment than to Morgan. She felt honored that they thought so highly of her. For a moment she was speechless. She wanted to smile and jump for joy at this occasion. Most people would think she was nuts for reacting this way but she was happy and excited. "I would be honored." She said with a bright smile.

"Excellent. Chief Montgomery is waiting for you to report to Engineering. I have informed her that you would be making your way down as soon as possible." Tovan said looking at Allison.

She looked to him and nodded. "Thank you both for this." She said with a wide smile and jumped out of the seat heading out of the office and out the door to the corridor.
"She seems very happy." Morgan said as she watched Allison leave than looked over to Tovan. She really couldn't blame her for her reaction. It was an exciting time for everyone involved. Hopefully this little venture was going to prove successful.

"Indeed. I know that she will do well on this project." Tovan stated as he leaned back in his seat. "I have full confidence in her abilities and skills."

Morgan nodded in agreement. "As do I."
