Doctor Leanne Bowen received word that she needs to send a medical crew or herself to be with the away team, to the planet of Turkana IV. She decided it was best to send Doctor Hart, who is still on probation on the EMH incident; otherwise, it wouldn't look good for him to be in charge of sickbay if she's with the away team.

Jason Hart walked into the transporter room with a duffel bag, filled with medical supplies. He figured that his boss sent him here early, finding only one person who is the transporter technician. He gave a smile and placed his bag on the floor near a wall to wait. "I'm Doctor Hart...waiting for the away team," he said to the technician.

Karma stepped into the transporter room and looked around. The others hadn't arrived yet. He paused to look at the Ensign wearing teal standing by the transporter pad. "I don't believe we've met," he said to the man as he extended his hand. "Lieutenant Commander Karma Sinclair."

He coughed to clear his throat as he took his hand, "Doctor Jason Hart. Nice to meet you, sir. Doctor Bowen can't be on this trip, so she sent me instead. It's been awhile since I've been with the away team..."

Karma looked at him and nodded. "Glad to have you along," he said to the man with a nod. "We'll beam down as soon as the others arrive."

Jason nodded back.

Jerry wandered in, not quite at the point of being three sheets to the wind's eave, but obviously having imbibed a little syntheholic liquid courage. Not a great idea before going down into what might be a warzone. But aside from a somewhat more loping gait, he was actually more controlled and "normal" than ever, his tricorder on his hip with a bunch of datachips on Turkana IV, ranging from planetological studies to analyses of the political situations. He flipped out the tricorder and double checked it, looking over everyone. "So, everybody ready to run down to a warzone?"

The doctor obviously remembered the science officer as he walked into the room. He met him on two occasions: sickbay and rec room. "No kidding, Lieutenant," he said his name by rank, eyeing the high ranking officer in the room. "It's being awhile since I've been into one. I guess I'm here to save everybody if they run into trouble."

"I thought that was our job," Leroy said as he walked into the transporter room with Charlie One and Delta One. "If anything starts to happen, should we be running towards the Medic, or towards the people firing at us?"

Jason laughed at the marine. "I meant the injured is my job to save. Don't expect me to be the front of the line." He picked up his duffel bag, putting the strap over his right shoulder. He put his hand out towards him, "I don't think we have met. I'm Doctor Jason Hart."

"Leroy Mangalia," he said taking the man's hand. Looking him up and down he chuckled. "I need three volunteers to keep Bones Junior here alive." Looking to his men he raised an eyebrow as several men from both Charlie and Delta raised their hands. "Oh good grief..." Leroy said palming his face with a groan.

Bones Junior? "I assume you are talking about me with that nickname," Jason appeared to be amused. "Please don't tell me that you are going to set me up with a bunch of bodyguards." He looked over to see that the XO must have been laughing to himself with some kind of smirk on his face. Jason swallowed, feeling like his face just turned a little red.

"Oh I had planned on it, I like keeping the Medic alive." Looking back at the two platoons, he shook his head. "I said three, not all of you! Whats your problem? You, you; and you," he said pointing to three females. "Keep the doctor alive, and your eye on what it needs to be on." Turning back to the Medic he chuckled. "I figured maybe you could use a little company, any complaints or do you want a male or two with you as well?"

The doctor gave a big smile as he thought it was just perfect with three ladies at his side, but the only problem is that they appear to act more like men. The clothes...nevermind. "Whatever." He patted the duffel bag, "When are we leaving?"

"We leave as soon as everyone gets on the pad," Karma said with a smile as he walked to one of the open positions and waited for the others.

Jason stepped up to the transporter pad with his bag, keeping an eye on the female marines. He touched the closed tricorder that was holsted on his left hip, making sure that it is there.

"I'll be on the next transport down," Leroy said as he looked back. "Half of the Marines go down now, the other half with me. We'll see you down there Sir."
