Yeoman Finney Arrives

Warrant Officer Finney stepped on the Bridge of the Orion bags in hand, She could see that quite a few contractors were still running about attempting to get the last minute details covered on the re-fit of the ship. The ship was crowded with crew and Fleet works moving things in and around. She stepped over to a Flight op's crew member..

"Excuse me , could you direct me towards Lieutenant Sheridan please?" The crewman looked up, "Sure Ma'am.. straight down that corridor. Should be in his Office."

Dana thanked the crewman with a wink and a smile and grabbed her bags..

Sheridan has several ship schematics highlighted on the giant wall screen and was having a quite animated discussion on the conference line. He saw a Blonde Warrant Officer peek her head in his open doorway. She had her travel bags with her and was obviously a new crew member... John waved her into the office and motioned her to have a seat.

Dana saw he was knee deep in the re-fit process . He seemed to be winning the argument about a giant hole between decks in the Science Department. Sheridan was tall and very well built, and had a command aura about him. The conversation ended after a few minutes and he turned off the screen.

"Hi, sorry about that. I'm John Sheridan. How can I help you."

Dana stood up and took the Lieutenants hand. "I'm Dana Finney, your new Yeoman, as I can't say I've arrived to soon."

"Welcome aboard the Orion Finney, I hope you had a pleasant trip. As you see things are definitely running wild here. I also hope your ready for a challenging assignment here."

"Yes Sir, I was surprised at the promotion I received before arriving, not sure quite what to think about that." She sat back down on the XO's couch as he sat next to her in the chair.

"Your position here will be a new position, it was created out of need by the senior staff to have a sort of Adjutant on board. Your prime directive is the support of both Captain Montgomery and myself, hence the Command Yeoman rating. All your duties shall be the same as a regular Yeoman only you have Two officers to assist instead of one."

Finney nodded in agreement.. That certainly will be different."

"Here on the Orion you will be acting with senior staff mostly Officers, that's why you were promoted. The Captain and I discussed the issue and after a long weekend of searching OPM records I found you. Your record and experience are exactly what we need here. Your clearance has been upgraded and you will work here out of this office and the Captains ready room. It will be a very demanding job. I've secured you private quarters due to your position, and I hope you will like the added privacy. I think we'll be needing your skills very soon so I suggest getting moved in and squared away. Again welcome."

Sheridan reached behind his desk and pulled a secured data padd out, "This gets updated every 30 seconds and should be of big help to you. See you tomorrow."

Dana took the padd and left the XO's office. She wasn't expecting anything like this.. she grabbed her bags again and was off to find her quarters.
