Samantha was eager to get as much done in the first days aboard the Orion as she could. She had plans for Stellar Cartography and wanted to talk to the Ensign in charge to see what he thought.

She walked into the lab and looked around. When she spotted Ensign Simms she walked over to him. "Hi. I'm Sam York. Do you have a few minutes?"

"Yes Ma'am, all the time you need." Tony got up and walked to her he was loading more files into the ships database the last six hours and needed a break anyway. he was glad she was there as he planned to ask her for some additional help in the section due to the workload...

"It looks like this are as chaotic in here as the rest of the ship. I guess that's par for the course," Sam said with a smile. "And please, call me Samantha, or Sam. I don't feel much lime a ma'am." She looked around briefly. "I was wondering what you'd think of putting in some holoprojectors so that we can use a 3-D map of the universe, one that can zoom in and list details of planets, nebulae, etc."

He moved to a set of boxes against the wall, "I already have them here I believe, I just need help getting the projectors mounted. I also have several different large screens but I really don't know what they do till I hook them up to the computer."

"Excellent. Holoemitters aren't standard in stellar cartography," Sam said with a happy smile. "I'll be hooking up the science database tomorrow. Today I'm moving boxes so there's room to set up. I can send some people to help you out, if you'd like."

"That would of great help to me Ma'am, thank you."

"No problem. Is there anything else you need?" she asked.

"Well Ma'am, I was hoping to get some help in here to help keep track of things, maybe before we leave you could talk to the Captain for me."

"What sort of help, specifically? You'll have two computers tomorrow, one for the main computer and one for a secondary science database. You'll have a couple assistants to help you. What else do you need?" she asked, wanting to be sure she got him the help he desired.

"I'm sure a few assistants will be more than efficient for running this office, that would be great."

Samantha nodded and made a note for herself on a PADD. "You'll have them tomorrow, along with the new computers. Anything else I can do for you?" Sam asked.

Tony smiled,"Can you get away from this ugly Station? I hope we're leaving soon! Thanks Sam for all your help, you're gonna have the top Cartography unit in the Fleet."

"I'm afraid I can do nothing about the station. But I can get the science department up and running as soon as possible. That'll help," she replied with a grin. "I have every confidence in you, Tony. I look forward to working with you."

With a nod and another smile, Sam left stellar cartography.
