After the Chief Intelligence Officer left her office, she rubbed her head. She wondered if Karma wanted company, but she wasn't in the mood to join him at the starbase. Leanne thought about yesterday when she joined Doctor Hart for dinner. She felt a stronger attraction to him, but she must be careful as he is her co-worker. She told herself that she has to remain friends with him...nothing more. What about the kiss? She groaned as it is not something that friends do.

She looked up from her desk to see Jason standing there. Her stomach flipped. She had to smile at him. "What are you doing here?"

He returned the smile. "I was wondering if you are going to the starbase...I can get something for you."

"Not now. I have to get this paperwork in for the Captain..."

"How much longer is it going to take? I think you need to take a break...boss."

"Not very long. It is going to be hard to get away from this place," she said as she looked at the PADD. She glanced up at him, having trouble concentrating with him standing there, looking all handsome. Then, she thought about the kiss again.

He walked into her office and plopped himself in the chair. "Use the EMH for the emergencies."

Leanne got rid of the kissing memory as she sat back and glared at him, wondering about his attitude as if he thinks that it is the best solution to the problem in sickbay - shortage. "I don't trust using the EMH...no personalities. Are YOU feeling better?"

Jason snickered as he sat lower in the chair where his neck was almost touching the back of the chair. "Yes, why?"

"Why don't you get your uniform on and take a shift, so I can take a break."

He sat up straight, "Okay." He hoped to go out with her again. He thought about a get-together on the starbase, but he decided to do the job for her because he cared. "I'll take care of sickbay for you. I was wondering if we could eat together again?"

"I'll have to think about that." She picked up the PADD with the finished report and stood up. "I better get these to the Captain. I'll see you later, Ensign." She left her office and sickbay.

Jason hoped she said his name again, but he was a little discouraged when she said his rank instead. He stood up just as a nurse came in.

"Are you on, Doctor Hart?" Yvette Jaynes said. She noticed that he wasn't in uniform. "I just heard that Doctor Bowen has left..."

"Yes, I need to change my clothes. Is there a patient that needs my attention?"

"Yes, sir," she handed him the PADD.

Jason glanced at it, "Okay, let's go see about this patient...then, I can get my uniform later." Hopefully, Leanne will make the decision soon for a get-together, he thought as he left her office with the nurse.
