Chief Engineer's log, supplemental.

It's been an interesting time on the Calyspo. I met a friend who turned out to have a romantic interest in me, and the Calyspo is ready to go but sitting in spacedock. I don't know what the captain is waiting for, but I'm almost itching to go on a mission. There's only so many times a girl can go through a checklist or conduct diagnostics on a system. Still, there's something to be said for a ship that's in one piece.

The engineers are getting bored, I can tell. Replacing conduits, relays and isolinear chips is not why they joined Starfleet. They joined for the adventure, to see new things and new people, and they're not going to get to do that sitting at a starbase. Kenta brought it to my attention and I looked around and saw it clear as day; it wasn't a pretty site. I'm worried about discipline getting out of hand when they're bored. Maybe I should talk to Karma.

Karma has just been promoted to first officer. He deserves it. He was a better officer than most here, and a good friend. I'm worried about what this budding romance will do to that friendship. I've had a friendship go bad once before when I allowed a friend to pursue me and I ended up losing that friend; I don't want that to happen here. He's sweet, and caring, and deserves a chance to be happy but do I want to lose his friendship? Can we stay friends after this? I need to talk to Neras; he would have known what to do. He always was good with relationships.

It's getting late and I have an early day tomorrow.
