[USS Calypso - Operations HQ]
Tovan had a very successful first day on the vessel. He had a pleasure of meeting his new commanding officer. She was a lot younger than he had expected but that didn't concern him slightly. She looked like she had a very good idea of what she was doing. At least he thought she did. It could be that she was nervous as much as anyone else. But he had faith in her ability. There was no reason for him to doubt her.
Next he had met with Doctor Bowen. That was nothing out of the ordinary. She had given him a clean bill of health. And there was also Counselor Tal. A Kazon female. That had intrigued him. He had planned to spend some more time talking to Erin. Curious about another culture that he had only knew few small details. It would be an opportunity to learn more.
However, before he could indulge himself in his personal life he had business to take care of. The first order of business was obviously to meet with his department. He wanted to introduce himself to them and also lay down the law as some would say. The meeting was scheduled for 0800 hours.
Delon had made his way into his office at 0600 and began reviewing files of his personal so he had a better idea of what he was to expect. He had done a brief overview the night before but now it was time for a more in-depth examination.
At 0745 hours, the first person stepped into the operations. Delon was at the replicator with his back to the person. As he turned around he was greeted by a human female with long brown hair that was in a pony tail. Her uniform was very clean and straight. He noticed almost every detail about her even the confused face that turned into a bit of anger.
"You! I know you! You bumped into me yesterday and didn't even bother saying 'sorry'." Morgan launched her attack at the half-ling. She didn't look at his collar nor did she realize that she was screaming at her boss. She had been upset about the whole situation.
Tovan stood there a bit speechless for a moment. He replayed the accident in his mind and it was her. He had been in a hurry that he didn't have time to stop. He didn't expect to see her again and had completely put the incident in the back of his mind. What were the chances of them meeting in his place, or even working in the same department.
"Well, aren't you going to say anything?" Morgan stood in front of Dolan with her hands on her hips. She still hadn't taken the time to look at the collar to realize that she was talking this way to an officer higher than her.
"I believe you are out of line, Lieutenant Junior Grade Morgan Faye." Delon responded with a cold expression on his face. He had placed the glass of juice on the table waiting to see the reaction from the woman.
Morgan was taken back for a moment. She couldn't believe this man. He was pulling rank on her and being completely rude. She finally shifted her eyes down towards the dollar noticing the two full pins on the collar and than looked up back to Tovan. "So I am, sir."
It wasn't the response that Tovan had expected but he had admired her attitude. He liked someone who was willing to say what was on their mind even if it sometimes wasn't the most appropriate. There was an honesty factor about her. Delon considered apologizing to the woman for the incident but as he was about to say something the doors to the operations HQ opened and two more women stepped in. Tovan looked over to Morgan. "We shall discuss this at a later time."
Morgan had noticed the women step into the room as well and it wouldn't look good in front of others if their disagreement continued. She was irritated with him but she wouldn't let it get in the way of their work. Or allow others to see it. "You can count on it." Morgan responded as she turned around and smiled at the other women.
