[Sickbay]
Hearing voices through the darkness, Jason Hart wasn't sure where he is or what happened. He slowly opened his eyes, staring straight at the ceiling that seems to be distorted. He blinked a few times till it cleared and frowned. Jason tried to lift his head, but couldn't as it felt like it weighed a ton. He turned his head to his left and then to his right, using his eyes to look around sickbay. I'm a patient?
Nurse Tarango saw movement to one corner that she knew was where the doctor is. She picked up the medical tricorder and walked over to it. When she found the doctor's were opened, "Doctor Hart...how you feeling?" Barbara opened the instrument to start the scans on him.
Jason looked up at the nurse and frowned again. "I feel like a Klingon has punched me. Well, it feels like I'm still sedated...", he said as he licked his lips.
"Can you tell me who you are and where you are at?"
With a harsh attitude, "Of course I know who I am and where I am at...get me off this biobed! Give me a stimulant to get rid of this medicine and I'll walk..."
Barbara rolled her eyes, "I'll be right back."
"Sure, you will!" He spat back.
Leanne came out of her office just as Barbara faced her. "What is all the yelling?"
"That's Doctor Hart. I'm going to go check on another patient...", Nurse Tarango hands her the tricorder with his information on it.
Doctor Bowen walked up to his bio-bed with the instrument in hand and crossed her arms. "I can hear you yelling all the way to my office and you are giving my nurse a hard time."
He turned his head slowly to look at her, "I'm sorry, boss... I can't stand being on this as it is uncomfortable."
Leanne sighed, "Doctors are worse patient. You tell me why you are here," she waited for while for an answer. Seeing that he is lost for words, she continued, "You were electrocuted by the replicator...do you remember that?"
"Not really."
"Your heart nearly stopped too. We resuscitated you. I expect you to remain here for recovery..."
"Can it be in my quarters? I rather some place for privacy and some comfort of my own bed," he begged.
She uncrossed her arms and opened the tricorder. "I'll think about it," she said as she starts the scans on him. After it beeped, "Your scans look normal. Any pain?" She closed the instrument and placed it at a nearby tray.
"Just achyness...soreness all over. I assume that is the protons that ran through my whole body and nearly fried my muscle nerves. I'd like to sleep in my quarters for better rest."
"Like I said, I'll think about it, Jason."
He smiled when she said his name. "I appreciate it, doc." Jason watched her turn around and head back to her office. Hopefully to be out of here soon, he thought.
