Daniels followed Lorne into the Brig complex.

"What the hell kind of report are you writing up, Chief?" Daniels asked.

"Arrest report." Lorne said.

Daniels stopped. He looked into the all-vacant brig cells.

"Daniels, could you do me a favor?" Lorne asked.

"Sir?" Daniels said.

Lorne handed him the PADD. "Make sure the Captain gets a copy of this. And get your girlfriend down here."

Daniels shook his head. "Sir, what the? Arresting Officer: Lieutenant Lorne Jaxara. Defendant: Lieutenant Lorne Jaxara. Charges: Firing an unauthorized weapon, intimidation?"

Lorne shrugged. "That's why Engineering should let people know when they fix things. We had the Holodeck cordoned off for 45 minutes, completely unnecessarily. I was under the impression they simply wouldn't get fixed. Turns out, Engineering fixed it, and didn't bother telling anyone."

Daniels shook his head. "You didn't... hit anyone..."

Lorne shook his head. "Just fired a few blanks in the air, to get the Chief's attention."

"Chief..." Daniels said.

Lorne looked at him.

"You are nuts."

"It happens to the best of us."
