Chichire was just sitting in the Mess hall for morning chow, but for some reason the mess hall was like a ghost town. Just as she was about to leave, the door opened and a Sergeant rushed in. "Are you Corporal Shintaku?" he says in a tired voice. "Yes, that's me," she said. "This memo is for you, all your details are in the memo." As he started for the door she looks down at the PADD for a second, then looked up again about to say something, but he was gone from the room. She sighed, and looked down at the memo again.

To Corporal Chichire Shintaku

Corporal Shintaku you are to report to my office at 1030 to be briefed on your new orders. You are also to be packed with all your gear and weapons after the briefing.

"Well it took them long enough. I have been here for two bloody months sitting on my butt," she said after reading the memo. She looked down at the PADD. "Well its only 0830, I can start packing now and be out of this god-forsaken place that much quicker." Chichire rushed back to her room to start packing, and to her surprise it only took her an hour and an half to pack everything up. As she packed, it struck her that none of her things were civilian; all were military supplied. "Man I need to buy some nice clothes. I'll just have to buy some when I get to my new post. At about the time to go, she turns toward the bed with her uniform laying on it. As she put on the uniform, and then finished her personal hygiene, she looked back at her PADD, it read 1005. She thought to herself, 'Well, time to go .'

Chichire walked there just to get to the Captain's office just in time. She walked up to the door knocked on it and said, "This is Corporal Shintaku reporting as ordered."

"Come in."

She walked to the desk, saluted and repeated, "Corporal Shintaku reporting as ordered, Sir." "Rest, Corporal. So I have your orders here. You're to report to the USS Calypso. The captain of the ship is Commander Samantha York. She should be informed of your transfer within the day, so you should be on your way as soon as your packed." He paused. "Oh by the way, the USS Calypso is a new ship and I am told the crew is very skilled so mind your manners."

"Roger, Sir. Is that all then, or is there more that I need to know?" As a matter of fact, there is. You will be the only sniper on the ship so you'll be used a lot for recon too. So don't be surprised if you're used as both. Corporal, attention! Dismissed!"

Chichire went to attention, saluted and did an about face, then she walked out. "Well, that went well," she said to herself . Chichire went back to her room, picked up her pack and duffel bag, and headed out to transport over to the USS Calypso.
