Samantha York stepped off the shuttle and had a good look at Jupiter Station. She’d never been here before.

She’d spent most of the shuttle trip reading over data on the Orion and its crew. Or, the crew so far.

She’d joined the Republic at Utopia Planetia, shortly before the ship left drydock, but she’d never reported this early in the refit before. It was going to be interesting.

Her first order of business was to store most of her personal belongings. It would do no good to unpack just to pack again in a short time. She took her duffle bag and made arrangements for everything else to be stored until it could be transferred to her new quarters on the Orion. Then she went in search of her temporary quarters.

Sam stayed just long enough to dump her duffle and run a comb through her hair. Then she changed into a uniform and headed for the temporary offices of the Orion command staff.
