Mission: What Lies Beneath?
Location: Orion

Leroy groaned and shook his head. There had been a long while where he had been in the sickbay, recovering from his wounds. The stupid ship hadn't worked in a long time, or it had been his fault entirely. Not one to tell himself that at all, he sat up in his old room, the second night he had spent there, and stretched. It was cramped, and confined, but he didn't mind in the least. It kept him from having to be in a shuttle after all.

"Mangalia report to the bridge" Sheridan had emptied his revolver into enough critters to put a smile on his face.. He needed to talk to the Marine that crash landed in the shuttle bay..

Nava had returned to her quarters after her expedition into the jeffries tubes. She hadn't seen anything untoward and finally becoming bored with it, she returned giving up. Sitting down on her sofa, she began going over what profit could be made from destroying a ship from the systems out and who would be brave enough to do that.

Nava's thoughts turned to the away team. She hoped that they were safe and on their way back to the ship. Whatever was causing the damage aboard the ship could also be causing trouble on the surface.

Suzette thought she'd hate working another position on the bridge besides science, but she kind of enjoyed working Ops. It was a different challenge, but she was enjoying it. Enough that, in spite of all the chaos, she was considering a transfer to Ops. She'd actually taken Ops as her secondary specialty, so she could switch if she wished.

She thought about that while she took damage reports and monitored what was going down and what was getting fixed. She kept an eye on communications as well. They still couldn't contact the away team. It had been six hours. And other six with no word and they'd send out a search party...

Ensign Daniels cursed, and put the respirator back on. This specific deck had nine places in which the Oxygen atmosphere dispersed into nothingness, and for the ninth time, he had a coughing fit when his lungs attempted to breath nothing.

"Respirator!" He muttered to the other Ensigns with him. They nodded, and put it on quickly.

Something small skittered across the deck. He fired his phaser, without even thinking.

Ensign Wilcox frowned. "Damnit, Daniels. That's the fourth cat you've killed!"

"Not my fault people can't keep the damn vermin inside their' quarters." Daniels muttered.

"Don't knock his quick trigger, Wilcox. You would have lost your leg to that creature if he hadn't seen it about to take a good chomp out of your leg, and fire at it." A female ensign noted.

"Point taken. Just try and avoid the cats. We're going to have to explain this to Jaxara." Wilcox muttered.

"I'll let Lire do that." Williams said with a smirk.

"What is it with you, and her, anyways. You two seem to have this unspoken understanding..." Wilcox said.

"Do not question the persuasive powers of a woman, Wilcox. Now let's keep going. We've almost cleared this deck." Daniels said, without further comment.

=====

Stretching, after his quick shower and shave, Leroy got into the rest of his uniform and shuffled out. He has to find the Marine hall, and he figured it was somewhere close to where he slept. Shrugging he moved to the left of his door, watching people move around and around, always working. He loved to work, but knew that Something had to be done, and soon. "Computer," he said looking at the wall. "Could you point me to the Marine briefing room?" As the panel lit up, and the lights began to slide, he sighed. They were going the other way. So much for his grand sense of direction. Turning, he began moving that way, whistling an old battle hymn.

Erin had settled down in her quarters with her guitar, wanting a quiet evening in which to ignore the rest of the world and just relax.
Thankfully, her quitar was'nt hooked up to the ship in any way or that would be on the fritz too.
Strumming a few chords, she looked up as the lights flickered lightly.
Bar any actual casualties, there didnt seem to be a lot she could do to help with the mechanics, she admitted to herself with a sigh, leaning forward and beginning to play the instrument.
