Mission:
Broken Mirror
Location: Sickbay and Bridge
[PREVIOUSLY]
[Sick Bay]
Newmark was busying himself with programming the medical data that he had from the Prowler Personnel, comparing their ambient signature from the universe the Calypso will be entering to the one of the Calypso Crew origin.
The data would help interior sensors 'note' entry of being not from the Calypso universe, then it is up to General scans to narrow the margin then Tricorder search should it come to that.
He would be at this for a while.

[Bridge]
Sam walked back onto the bridge, taking note of the change in the general emotions. It looked like everything was fine, so she didn't look for where the emotions came from or a reason for them, even though it piqued her curiosity. Sometimes it was better not to know. "Thank you, lieutenant," she said to Torek.
When he was back at the science station, Sam sat in the center chair and took a quick glance at her console.
Damion walked over to his usual station and motioned for the officer on it that he would take over. As soon as he tapped on the console he felt Tallas approach him.
"Sooo... are we throwing the little guy in the brig?" She asked curiously. "Can I slap him in irons? Feed him bread and water for a week? Make him entirely uncomfortable while we book him, Danno?"
Damion raised a brow and looked over to Tallas oddly. "You are given this far too much thought?" He looked back to his console and added. "Who is Danno?"
"Never mind that. Are we tossing him in the box or not?"
"The Captain wants to try something and hopefully he won't be a problem for the rest of the mission." Damion replied as he continued his work. "In the meantime,... keep an eye on him and monitor his computer access. If he tries something before then.... then we can toss him in the brig."
"And make him uncomfortable?" Tallas added with a smile.
"Stop that..." Damion replied, looking over to her with a smirk before shaking his head. He looked back to his console and continued his work. "You're making me uncomfortable now."
"I'm going to catch him red handed. Just you watch." Tallas replied quickly. "I should setup a sting. Maybe even a stakeout. A stakeout sounds fun."
"No more old Earth crime dramas for you." Damion said with a slight chuckle.
With the Calypso's Marine detachment as prepared as they could be for what was to come, Danny had stopped briefly to collect some coffee before finally making his way up to the bridge.
Feeling several sets of eyes shift his way as he emerged from the turbolift, Rye largely ignored them as he made his way further into the room. He was unsure honestly, exactly who or what he was searching for.
Across the way he spotted the ship's chief of security busy at work alongside an Andorian woman he was yet to meet but suspected was probably Wolfe's department second. Rye had felt earlier that both he and Wolfe had similar concerns regarding whatever was to come and whilst that wasn't a particularly big surprise, it was also quite reassuring to know that they were on the same wavelength.
Hesitating for a moment as Danny took another look around, he was beginning to feel that he was just wasting time before he settled on approaching the ship's CO, "Is it still you, Captain?"
"As far as I know," Sam replied with a smile. "How can I help you, Captain Rye?"
There was a long pause before Rye responded, the true answer was that he wasn't entirely sure. The whole scenario the ship found its self in was certainly fascinating to Danny but at the same time he found the security challenge of defending against potential doppelgangers oddly unsettling and whilst he knew their collective defense forces were as ready as they could be, the pre-fight nerves that he'd felt probably a hundred times before had started to kick in and were manifesting themselves as restlessness.
"I'm... not sure," Rye finally admitted, "I just wanted to drop by and make sure everything was okay." It was a pretty lousy explanation but it was the best one he could semi adequately articulate in the moment.
She nodded, understanding what he couldn't put into words. "I've seen how Damon reacts to situations like this. We have Starfleet's view of what's going on. I'd like you to look at it from a militaristic perspective. See if you can find any patterns of behavior we can use to identify their tactics. You'll have a better idea of what to look for. Find out what you can. I'm sure we'll add to it before too long." Especially if they were going to poke the proverbial bear by investigating.
Sam paused for a moment. "There may also be a need for a ground presence at some point. I'd like your thoughts on that as well."
There was another moment of brief silence as Danny contemplated momentarily the Commodore's words, glancing downward as he did so before his gaze shifted back up, "I wonder if behavioral differences between our societies might also help us identify any doppelgangers attempting to hide among us." It was hardly his area of expertise but there were plenty of others aboard who would no doubt be able to lend a hand.
"Consider us ready on both counts," Rye nodded, his mind feeling as though it had suddenly come alive again with a renewed focus.
Maybe it was the years Sam had been married to Damon, or just Rye's confidence, but she was glad the Marines were there in case this assignment went south--and given her record, that was definitely a possibility. "Thank you. Now, let's see what's going on."
