Mission: Pulling Together
Location: Vulcan, Explosion site

This was not that convient; here his weekend was inturrupted by an explosion. On the other hand at least he did not have to be away from Maria in this case, science girls are handy with tricorders and such.

Munich was taking charge of a second team to scan the area. His expertese with communications would be of use since confirmation of a remote used in the device. Communication circuits had a distinction to them if one knew how to look for them.

The blast radiai of the two bombs did have some overlap, Munich could tell that the circle of buildings allowed only a few transmission angles, from what Munich knew the Crime Scene guy; Gink according to records, had established the proper angle and location of the transmission.

"Maria." Munich turned to his Girlfriend. "Can you get some scans of that area right over there." He pointed to a region of a crater. "That would be where the first bomb went off, we need as detailed a scan with emphasis in the chemical as you can give us?"

"Sí, I can do that," Maria said. She pulled out her tricorder and headed for the first blast area. She would scan, but then she wanted to compare her scans with what the Horus found and what hte original science team scanned. Between the three, she should have a pretty accurate idea of what the explosive was made of.

Moving about the radius he thought for a second.

"Lieutenant Borne, do you think you could help secure the area while we make the scans, we need to be here and absolutely no one else in for a bit?"

Lilliana nodded, "of-course sir, that's what we're here for" she replied with a smile while she started using a few hand motions to send a couple of marines to patrol the area while she and one other stayed in the area off to one side. it was extremely strange for a core federation world to experience this sort of attack in a time of peace. Vulcan even more so.

"Okay..." Munich started to take a few readings while he was walking about. "Calypso, Munich here. I need for the third point of trangulation for the signal." He started to look about. "Maria could you scan for a Power source wavelength I am sending you. That should be the power signature for our transmitter. The Calypso has narrowed it to this area but not exact because of all the chatter from planet side operations?"

Maria received the signal and scanned. "Found it. It's coming from a building to my north. There are a number of people there...including Commodore York."

"That is my Girl." Munich complemented. "Dat vould make triangulation so Ve know Vere it came from." Munich tapped his badge. "Commodore York, Munich here, ve have triangulated a second transmission other dan the detonation signals to your location."

"York here. Where is it coming from?" Sam asked.

Maria sent the coordinates over her PADD. "There, ma'am."

Sam looked at the coordinates and nodded. "Thank you. When you're done, get back to the ship. York out."

When the connection closed, Maria turned to Hans. "What next, commander?"

Munich thought about how this was such a wonderful weekend; he had to believe that Lady Luck was being quite the shrew to a point with his weekend alone taking Maria about. There would be other times nd once they completed the tasks he would make it up to her if he had to take Command Initiative to get extra Holodeck time. That really should not have been in his mind; he had bigger things to worry about. He had a thought.

The logistics of it wqere not within his realm of specialty; but he did have a beautiful woman who is a Science Officer and could easily do the task; it would be tedious and not a quick one but well within her skills and specialty. SOmetimes COmmand did have a privilege and the proper use of resources is something he had been trained for in Basic OPS as his emphasis is Communications to that end. It would be his job to plot the exact line of communications and then he could have someone use past sensory logs to verify some facts.

"Maria." He spoke in Spanish as it was a common language between them. "I need your lovely mind and skill set." HE began. "We will know the exact location of that transmission directionally, what I could use help with the sensory net of Vulcan and sifting through to see what ships might have been in the line of trajectory and time span a little before and after the time of the transmission?" He nod to her. "I seems that we will be heading back to your neck of the woods, we could hook into the Calypso and Vulcan networks to get a reading perhaps? I will see you get all you need."

Before she could really get an answer he tapped his combadge. “Munich to Calypso, three to beam up.”
