Orvack looked at the Security Chief and remained silent. He turned slightly over to Kali, than back again, only to give the man a nod. He understood. Orvack only just connected with Kali and had already fought protect her. Had she ever been taken away, he wouldn't be able to control himself, lashing out at everyone and everything. If he had to, he would find a way to move the planet itself just to bring her back and ensure her safe return to him.

Sam turned to Spock. "As the official representative for Intel, what is your opinion?"
Spock sat on the table, facing the group, in front of a pushed in chair. He dropped the tiny PADD and looked up, hearing the name Intel, and let out a sight chirp. His eyes quickly darted across the room. Was he being called to eat? Did he do something he shouldn't have? Alas there was no food and it didn't seem like he was being scolded, so he looked back down to his PADD and continued to play with it slightly, amusing himself.
"That's what I thought," Sam replied.
Damion looked around the table before looking back to Sam and smirking. "I am guessing that's a no comment, Captain."
"No, I take it he's confused."
Leroy looked into the screen and saw everyone. He was motionless for a moment before he started talking. "I'm not even going to ask why there's a monkey at the table but has anyone thought of doing a smash and grab for Tate? It may help destabilise the current regime enough for the true heir to come in and take what's rightfully hers." There was another small pause as the warp field around his shuttle shut down and the red planet could slightly be seen off to his side. "Its not always diplomacy that can win the day, and if someone has manipulates a Starfleet officer in some way, using an unknown technology, then our duty is to make sure that it can't happen again. I don't want to put the man down, but what if..." he paused again for a second clearly in thought. "What if we were able to over ride anything that they were going to say in the meeting before the people?"
"I did." Damion said softly, looking around the room as if he wasn't proud of it. "Back when Tate was first accused of murder, I spent a bit of my free time devising a way to go in solo and extract her. I came up with a few ideas and strategies, using sensors and such from the battle bridge, to determine outside obstacles. Guards routes. Defenses. Offenses. Escape routes and what not. But, then, when it was revealed that Tate began working with Keelan, I shelved."
He looked over to Sam and continued. "I want it stated, for the record Captain, that my intention was to present the idea as an alternative once all other options were wasted. I had no intention of moving forward with the plan without your's or Starfleet Command's, approval. I just needed something to occupy my mind so I didn't feel like I was doing nothing. I thought, my experience with missions of that nature, would give us an option to get our Officer out in the event she was sentenced to death."
"Or you could just transport her to the ship. After which she would be transferred back to Starfleet Intelligence and likely medical to receive extensive treatment. I have seen this all too many times before and trust me Commander Tate is compromised. The symptoms she has displayed usually take months to precipitate but somehow Keelan has done it within hours. To be frank Commodore she doesn't trust you, or any of you really. This was her first field assignment as she was left alone and for that she nearly lost her life. Keelan has undoubtedly amplified these sentiments leading to her current condition. I observed the way she looked at us during the meeting, there was only hate in those eyes. You can throw as much optimism as you like at the situation the facts do not change." Alexandra replied.
Sam was very much aware that Tate did not trust anyone on the Calypso. "As you can see," Sam said, addressing Mangalia, "It was considered. The problem was that we could do nothing at the time. Starfleet regulations forbid interference in planetary laws. Until we could prove that Tate was not only innocent but framed by Keelan, we could not remove her from the planet. But now that we have presented our evidence, it is an option."
She looked around the table. "We still need to present the evidence to the people of Jenefra and Kali as the rightful heir. Then we will deal with Tate."
Once again Sam addressed Alexandra. "While Tate was clearly under Keelan's influence at the beginning of our trip to the palace, by the end she had accepted the truth we presented. She was ashamed of her behavior. Right now, we have to get her back before she does anything foolish as she now feels guilty for what she did. We also need to remove her from Keelan's influence before he changes her mind again. What I am not sure of is if it is better to beam her up or invite her and let her come on her own accord."
"An offer would better gauge her mood, do not be fooled by momentary remorse. Her mind is probably struggling to comprehend what is happening and her logic fighting her condition. Without a full psychological analysis it is impossible to tell what state Commander Tate is in. Trust me, Commodore, this is a road I have travelled before." Vance retorted.
"I agree that Tate is in a precarious mental position and so is likely to behave erratically," Sam said. "However, while I appreciate your input, I believe you are biased and so do not agree with all of your assessment." She could not completely trust Alexandra, either. Not because of her past encounter with Morat, but because of her past behavior with Sam.
Alexandra refrained from commenting any further despite her disdain for the open comment.
