Mission: Of Gods and Men
Location: Planetside

[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

Spartacus shook her head and thought loudly before she stopped herself. * WHy do I end up with the violent ones? *

[NEW]

Spartacus quietly bent down to pick up the other sword, a slight spin of the counterweight at the bottom of the hilt to balanced it in a finger; a flick to lift it a little to grab it and into a slight twirl all in what seemed fluid motions.

"Remind me to teach you pressure points, they are quieter, with a smooth motion she cut a length of the man's shirt away and picked up the strip. "Let me help with that." She winked. "I learned first level nursing. She started to bind the wound. "A counselor is not needed to counsil in combat; I did not want to get bored so ... Triage duty."

"Sorry." Illise said, although she wasn't entirely sure why. She looked down at her arm as Teenah started bandaging it. "Thank you. You're not a bad nurse." She drew in a slight hiss as the fabric tugged on the wound, and then it started to throb. Illise turned her thoughts elsewhere. She looked down at the two unconscious guards. "Suppose they might like to enjoy our room for a while?" She smirked, looking back at Teenah.

"Umm..." Sam's voice came into Teenah's mind. "Yes, I think you should definitely hide the guards."

"Samantha supports your idea of giving them our room." Spartacus took a breath and bent down to pick up his feet. "Trust me from experience, dragging them this way is easier on the back and the only real way ladies can quickly drag a man sized bag of ... potatoes." She explaianed as she was dragging the heavy guard away.

* Should we meet you somewhere? * Spartacus projected to Samantha. * Hale is a scrapper, kind of proud of her actually. *

"Good. Get out of the temple and go back to the inn. I think I've got my end covered."

"Samantha wants us to meet her at the Inn." Spartacus shrugged and started towards the door to lock it behind them. "We need to get some more clothes to blend into the background like locals." Spartacus giggled a bit. At least I am not Green, that would have made things harder." Spartacus moved closer to a wall. "JUst follow me and I will get you out of here and the next outfit will better cover that wound."She winked.

* Okay Samantha, I will get Hale to the Inn after we get some more local style clothing to blend better. * She projected to Samantha while thinking of her bare feet. * And some new sandals. *

Illise dragged the other guard in the fashion Teenah suggested. She didn't bother mentioning that this wasn't the first time she'd had to do so, although those were very different - and in retrospect fairly amusing, circumstances. She quickly pushed it out of her mind, lest she start laughing while dragging the man and look like a lunatic. Once both guards were in the room she locked the door and tightened the bandage on her arm.

Illise followed Spartacus as they quietly made their way down the corridor and into the complex in search of a way out.

Spartacus used a very dance like step that did not slow her progress but she seemed to be concentrating on everything around her as well as her steps. THe result was steps that di dnot appear to make a sound, she would hesittae at corners and then motion Hale to follow once she is satisfied it is clear. Repeating this process as they neared the outer sreas.

Using all her senes and a little f that Betazoid heritage to note auras she sought to avoid them and keep the two women like shadows.

[Temple Reception Hall]

"Why did you come here?" Frenatus asked Sam bluntly.

"We detected a technological signature and we were curious," she said, equally bluntly. "We wanted to find out what it was."

"Why are you still here?" he asked, still suspecting she was lying to him, even though he detected no subterfuge.

"You sent my ship away. I'm stuck here as much as you are," Sam replied.

She had a point, and he did not like the fact that she pointed it out to him in front of his acolytes. "You sent your spies into the village to foment unrest."

"My people were looking for the technological signature -- your signature. They spoke to no one. Did you find them talking to people?" She paused for a moment, noting that he was not pleased by her answer and took it to mean he knew she was right. "They did nothing but use our technology to find your technology."

He waived a hand to his acolytes. "Take her to a guest room. Feed her. I will evaluate the truthfulness of her words."

The acolytes nodded and led Sam to a well-appointed room to wait.

[Village]

Kara followed the men out a back door and through the side streets to another shop, this one a butchers with large carcasses of beef hanging from the ceiling.

The men went through a back door and into a cellar. Kara followed, hoping Cam was close behind.

Finally, they stopped in a small cellar. "We will wait here until dark."

Cam stuck close to Kara. He didn't like being trapped in this cellar and she was close enough to just snapping that if anyone made an aggressive move, they'd have a knife in their face before they could move.

Kara moved closer to Cam. "Why are we in here?" she asked the three men who came in with them.

"Staying out of site. The acolytes will be looking for us. We'll be safe here for now. After the evening ritual, the acolytes will be busy and we can go our separate ways." He looked at the other two men and nodded.

The second man pulled out a small chip and handed it to Kara. "This will identify you as one of us. If you decide to become part of the group, show it to the innkeeper. He'll know what to to. In the meantime, go back to your group. Pretend like you never saw us. It'll do neither of us any good if you aren't willing to commit."
