"Fluffy?!" Logan said surprisingly from the combadge. "Am I supposed to be Fluffy? Dude, you better be referring to me as Fluffy or I am going to definitely go down there and punch you in the face." There was a slight paused on the other end before Logan replied again. "No. there was definitely 5 minutes from the time it was changed to the time she was attacked."

[NEW]

"Do you know when the attacker transported in to the room?" Damion asked as he looked to Jayna, almost like he knew where it was going.

"Hmm... interesting." Logan said curiously. "The temperature change wasn't done inside the room. It was done by a different terminal."

"And the terminal used?" Damion questioned.

"Deck 17. Close to the... shuttle bay."

"Logan. Send a message to that shuttle bay. Tell the Officer in charge to shut down all shuttles and evacuate the personal on shift. Keep an eye on those systems. Something tells me our attacker might have a way around our protocols." Damion smirked slightly, looking over to Tallas. "Go back to your office and help him from your end."

"Right." Tallas replied with a nod and walked off quickly out of the room.

Damion looked back to Jayna and walked over to her slowly. "I don't know how long you've been with Intel, but there is something you need to understand. This Gul has avoided capture for a long time. She's avoided the likes of Max and Jethro Vance. Two officers who, as far as I know, are still at the top of their game. There is no telling what move is planned and which one isn't. Do I know for a fact that Alexandra is gone? No. Do I feel bad for the person responsible if she is dead? Not in the least. What I do know is that her being gone or alive doesn't change this case one bit. So you, and your overgrown furball, can either focus and work with me or leave, because one of us has to be ready to push the buttons we don't want to push, only because sometimes that's the only way to get real answers."

"I can still hear you." Logan replied from the combadge.

"Look, Wolfe, I've put up with your attitude long enough," Jayna replied. "I like Lancaster and that's why I haven't walked out of here and let you sink on your own. Stop treating me and Logan like we're rookies who have no idea how to do our jobs and work WITH us instead of strutting around like some demented peacock. I know you're jealous of Remy and you can't do the job Logan does, but that's no reason to act like a jerk."

"You tell em, Kitten!" Logan shouted from the combadge.

"One: I am not jealous of that dwarf. Two: I could care less about what your boyfriend can do and I am more worried about what he has done, because even he doesn't know. Lastly: Look at this from my point of view. It's personal. Alexandra was my friend and, chances are, whoever is doing this to Tate is responsible for her too. Think about where this started and where its ending. A shuttle. Whoever has access to that shuttle bay may be the same one responsible for Alexandra and it is taking ever ounce of control I have to not go in there myself, sword unsheathed, and rip the bastards head from his torso!" Damion said as he raised his voice, stepping closer to her, not caring who was listening or in the room. "Nothing would please me more than to recluse myself from this case, but when my mentor asks me personally to do this I can't say no. I owe him and I owe Vance. I have to keep myself at arms length just to keep Ronnie from having to visit me behind a force field. If you ask me, The Dwarf is getting off easy on this one."

"There's no proof that Alexandra Vance is alive, but I doubt she's dead. Either way, she's a victim, just like Beckinsale and Tate. And a dozen other people on this ship. Right now, my job is to find the person behind all this. Right now, you need to put aside your petty jealousy -- and yes, you are jealous. I don't know what you have against Remy, but from what I've seen, he's twice the man you are, even at his grumpiest. I don't know what Lancaster sees in you. Leave Logan out of this and act like the professional you profess to be," Jayna said.

"Don't let Remy hear you say that. He might never let you live it down." Logan replied quickly.

While she ranted at Damion, she went over to Tate's computer. She pulled out a small device and attached it to the input port. After a moment, she began to pull up data. "Logan, ignore the Big Bad Wolfe and see if there's been any outside access to Tate's computer. Does it correspond to anything coming from the shuttle bay? I hate to admit it, but I think Tall Dark and Hairy has the right idea. Someone in the shuttle bay is involved."

"No. The link bypassed her Personal Computer all together, going right through Environmental Controls. As far as the main computer was concerned, it was making the adjustments on its own." Logan replied calmly.

"Wolfe. Wolfe. Wolfe." Talla's voice came from one of the monitors. "He's right. I backtracked his backtracking and tracked it through the same track." She paused for a moment to repeat what she said in her head before continuing. "And, get this, it's an old school hack job. By hack I mean computer hack not bad job kind of hack. You know what I mean?"

"Slow down, Tallas. Give me the specifics. In English." Damion asked.

"The Caitian is right. The terminal in the shuttle bay ran a program that made the computer think it was starting a pre set command by Tate herself. The same style program was used to active a site to site transport." Tallas said happily.
