[OLD]
"Those men would not have hesitated to harm us." Spartacus pointed out. " Right now we need to know what we are up against and who is pulling the strings." She smiled. "After all we are just two helpless females who got caught, keeping what we can do a secret and playing the passive card will do more than being irrational." She looked at Hale. "The first test is over; we act nice they play nice so far, at some point we will be questioned, we just have to wait for some answers then."
[NEW]
* Contacted Samantha.... Contacted Samantha... Contacted Samantha... * Spartacus kept concentrating hard to Hale hoping she might hear the thoughts?
Illise had little previous contact with telepathy besides what she had encountered during her Starfleet training, so Spartacus' thoughts didn't make an immediate impression. Her own thoughts were to loud to hear it. It was more like a whisper, but she suddenly found herself thinking about the Commodore. If only there was some way to contact her...then she heard it clearly. * Contacted Samantha... * Teenah! That's right, both she and Sam were telepathic, or empathetic - she wasn't entirely sure where the distinction lay.
Knowing that if she had wanted to do so, Teenah would of spoken aloud, so Illise responded as best she could by focusing on a sense of relief and gratitude towards the other woman.
Spartacus nod to her 'room mate' and put her head back and closed her eyes for a few seconds; the efforts did not come without a price and keeping her eyes closed Spartacus picked a grape like item off her plate and tilt her head back and lobbed the grape into the air and into her mouth without having to watch it. A trick she obviously had lots of practice in doing.
"I hope they let us bathe soon." Spartacus remarked. "I would hate to be so long that I give you a headache?" She mused. "That is why I bought so many bathing oils, a good bath clears the head and keeps headaches away from room mates." She was giving small talk. "Order 001" She refer to the Prime Directive. "Might be hard to follow here, but we have to keep trying."
"Agreed." Illise replied. "And don't worry about headaches. Klingon drinks pack more punch." She made a face.
Spartacus laughed. "You have not seem me really let my hair down, gives women a migraine from hell." She ate some more food. "And I have witnessed enough Klingon head aches from Blood Wine to verify I do not want you to bare comparative between the two." She opened her eyes and looked at Hale. "We are going to be fine, this is nothing to worry about, they mean us no harm at the moment; if we can keep it that way by being nice we have a greater chance of less injury when we leave." She suggested. "Just be diplomatically nice until it is time to leave and listen to 'EVERYTHING' and I will mind the auras."
Illise nodded her agreement then sat back more comfortably on the bed. "Whoever grabbed us must be quite nervous, we've only been in town for one night." She thought about her missing 'notebook'. "I shouldn't of brought it." She mumbled.
"It was The twins playing with us." Spartacus said quietly. "Fate and Destiny are quarreling again and we got stuck in the middle." She smiled to Hale. "Of course my mother always told be going out late at night alone as a woman would get me into trouble, guess we should have waited for a crowd?" She winked. "Don't worry about it, we have to go from here and see what we can learn?" SHe turned to face Hale and slid her feet to the ground. "I am not getting any bad feelings yet so let's just stay with that for now and keep a calm head, they will not know what to do if we are nice?" Spartacus hoped; it seemed they were being nice so she figured returning the favor might help?
"I have no plans to hurt anyone." Illise smiled sweetly.
[The Inn]
Arnon had woken early and did some exercise then bathed and dressed. The woman who ran the kitchen in the inn was kind enough to give him what he was reasonably sure was a coffee like drink, some kind of fruit juice, and some other food that looked harmless. He had discretely scanned the food with his medical tricorder when he was alone. Warmed up, bathed, and fed, he set off for the commodore's room. He'd waited until an hour that was at least more decent than not so as not to interrupt anything between the commodore and her husband. If he was married to Samantha York, he'd certainly take advantage of all of the 'alone time' he could get with her.
