Jennifer paused for a moment as shock set in. "Yes...of course." She managed to stammer out. Why was the Commodore asking her to take over a party she wasn't even certain she was invited to? Was it some kind of test?
"Relax, just say hello if someone looks lost and tell them to get a drink," Sam replied with a smile.

[Engineering]
Sam stopped long enough to replicate a gaudy Hawaiian shirt for Chris and a stack of leis as she and Teenah made their way to engineering. She didn't care that their dress caught the attention of several crew members. Any time someone commented, she dropped a lei over their head and smiled.
The two women stepped into Engineering and stopped, waiting for their presence to be noticed. As soon as it was, Sam commanded in a loud, authoritative voice, "Lieutenant Hartley, front and center!"
Spartacus sauntered into the Engineering and removed her white sunglasses to hang them off the string between the coconuts of her outfit and started to make eye contact with the men and others as she had on the full hula outfit of flowers around her wrists and head and the green of her skin adding a tanning effect to the tailored grass skirt that she managed to train to hug her hips.
As Chris finished replacing a console panel which had been destroyed via a feedback pulse, he heard the Commodore's voice call him. Burying a sigh, he turned around and stood to attention. "Ma'am." He said.
"I hear you refuse to recreate, Lieutenant. Therefore, I am here to give you a direct order." She dropped the shirt over his head. "You are to report to the holodeck immediately, where you will enjoy yourself or you will answer to me. Do I make myself clear?"
"Ma'am, with all due respect, we're still replacing a lot of EPS Conduits. I believe my time would be better spent here." Chris said, although he knew he was wasting his time.
"It is up to you sir to ..." Teenah gave an alluring grin and allowed the light to catch her eyes as only an Orion could as she gave some winks to the men as she spoke. "to represent these handsome gentlemen who were not able to attend the Luau." She looked at the Chief Engineer like a cat eyeing something fun. "Or do I have to assign myself to make sure you have a good time?"
Chris looked at them, and saw Elley grinning. He would definitely need to keep an eye on her, she was...definitely trouble. But, he figured she would be the kind of trouble his engine room needed. He looked at the shirt, and then at the two women in front of him. "I appear to be outnumbered." He said.
"You do, indeed," Sam replied, giving Elley a grin. "And tomorrow, you will give the lady who is allowing you time to recreate a chance to sleep in. I think two hours should be sufficient."
Sam turned. "Come on, Lieutenant, there's a drink with your name on it waiting for you." With a nod to the rest of the engineers who had gathered to see what was going on, she headed for the door, trusting Teenah to make sure Chris didn't get diverted on their way to the turbolift.
Spartacus remained close to the Engineer with what could be a sultry smile. "You even get a colorful escort." She winked to the Lieutenant. "When it comes to Commodore York I believe the old Earth saying' it is impolite to keep a lady waiting' comes into effect here." She used her thumb and forefinger to draw the sunglasses from resting between the coconuts and flicked them open before putting back on place on her head. "DO we wish all our orders could be 'to recreate?" She gave a soft tone to her words. "Shall we?"
"Yes ma'am." Chris said. "Williams, replace the EPS Conduits in Junctions 37-39. Andrews, supervise the hull repairs..."
"I've got this. Get going, Chief." Elley ordered. Chris looked at her, and then at Spartacus. "I hope there's no dancing there. I really don't dance."
"Dancing is strictly optional," Sam assured him, tossing the words over her shoulder as she walked out the door of main engineering.
-Holodeck-
Leroy walked up to Yui, smiling and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "You'll have to show me this game some other time. Maybe after I'm done, or if you can peel me away from my work." Giving her a soft, chaste kiss on the cheek, he smiled. "Enjoy the party." Slipping away he also slipped out and into the halls of the Calypso, going to change and then head to the fighter bay. His ship had been destroyed during the onslaught, but he hoped that there were enough spare parts to start building a new fighter.
Stepping into the fighter bay, he noticed several other men working on their own birds. "Everyone's to go down to the Luau that the Commodore is throwing for us. Go have fun."
Back on the holodeck, Cam was looking out at the water thinking about going for a swim. It seemed calm enough. "Hey, after we've bashed in a few watermelons, how about we grab a board or two and go looking for some choice waves" he asked Kara
"Sounds great! I haven't surfed in far too long," Kara said.
Yui had snuck off over to one of the coconut trees and accessed the holodecks communications panel.
"Hey Leroy" Yui said. "Can you come back please? You shouldn't work too hard, plus I want some attention too!" she said with a rather childish sad tone towards the end.
Leroy laughed and tapped the comm inside the bay. "Go play with the crew Yui. When the parties done I'll give you all the attention you want." Laughing again he clicked the comm off and started pulling the parts he would need to start a brand new Scorpion Class fighter. Luckily they had grabbed a spare hull for one so all he had to do was start installing.
"Well," Arnon said. "I'm going swimming, should anyone care to join me."
