Waking up

Mission: The Devils Snare
Location: Sick bay, USS Orion
Timeline: Three hours ago

Shinga started from her sleep. Where was she? Looking around, she could tell she was in the sick bay of a Galaxy class starship. But what galaxy class ship? Then it all came back to her.

She had started out as the Assistant Chief Security Officer to Binjole Nartu. But when it was discovered he was collaborating with Cardassian terrorists when Bak'ten J'trey tried to disable him, Nartu was immediately put in the brig and Shinga was given a field commission of Lieutenant JG and command of Security/tactical. However, on her first hour of duty, Nartu tried an escape. In the fight, Shinga was knocked unconscious. She wouldn't wake up for another two months, until right then.

She rose out of bed, and quickly tried to reorient herself.

"Doctor?"

"Anyone?"

A nurse came to her:

"Do you require anything Lieutenant?"

"No. But I need to get to my station."

The nurse replied nervously:

"You are in no condition to go to the bri-"

Thrax interrupted her:

"I'm going and that's an order."

The nurse was silenced at that.

While getting out of her bio bed, Shinga noticed her hair was down.

Searching through her pockets, she found the extra bobby pins she always kept with her. She gathered up her hair and pinned it into her signature bun. Once that was done, she secured her pips on her uniform, and left sick bay.
