Mission: Revenge

[OLD]
"This time, I'll take the big one," she replied. "He looks a little under-dressed for the occasion." Sam watched him move and weighed her options.
[NEW]
Spartacus took her cue and started towards the woman; sizing the way the woman moved, the subtle way she hedl the middle of the net. It is a subtle weapon and not one that was like a sword; the skill needed to use it was astounding actually, this woman was more of a brawler type and the net would be her way to restrain long enough to impale upon the fork like trident.
"Risky if you ask me." Spartacus said as she had to watch this woman and what she would try to do? "That weapon is more suited for superior numbers and you are getting one on one."
"I only need that one chance and this net will be your undoing." The woman was using the net right now more like one might have a ready shield.
The net was cast in a way to ward Spatacus back; it gave the woman ground as Spartacus had her shield and the blade that she moved in her hand as a trailing edge. This tactic was more of a challenge as Spartacus decided to go closer. She adjusted her grip in the shield and moved in another step as the woman used both hands to prep the net.
"You will die for my better glory..." The woman cast the net this time and as it released stepped back to draw her blade from the belt line.
Spartacus used her shield as a barrier and pushed it away from her as she dove onto the ground and rolled out from the entanglement, her 'modesty of te skirt had long since ceased to be on her mind as her roll ended in a combat ready crouch, blade at the ready.
"You have no shield." The woman said.
"Finally caught something in that net I see." Spartacus came to her feet.
Dissen had the Command Woman, he was told he would get extra food and women if he slowly crushed her for the crowd. He did not care if she had a shield or anything, his club with the Strength of his right arm should crush her easily enough.
"Hurt!" He said as he charged and swung, not caring if he smashed her or scared her from the force of his blow.
Sam watched him come, more brute force than finesse. She measured his movement and just before he reached her, she raised the staff like a jousting lance and rammed it into his groin. The staff broke with the impact. Then before he fell on her and managed to crush her, she executed a rolling dive to the side, coming up behind him.
That was twice she'd gone for the obvious, but for whatever reason, her opponents didn't seem to understand the need to use any sort of technique. It wouldn't happen again. Nero wouldn't give her the opportunity.
Sam didn't want Dissen to recover and come after her again. He would be mad enough to kill her if he did. So she pulled her knife nad hamstrung him. "Sorry, buddy. You'll thank me later."
She turned quickly to see how Teenah was faring.
The woman lashed out at Spartacus, who jumped back a bit and put her blade in the way of the attack and side stepped a little. The other woman backed off and started to circle, the corner of her eye saw a partner to Spartacus and a threat. SHe charged Spartacus to hope to end this before the other woman could attack as well.
Spartacus saw the attack and had the Shaolin teachings to 'redirect' force away from her. Releasing the knife she used both hands to flip the woman sending her tumbling sideways a few times. Snatching up the Gladius she stood ready for the fight.
The woman did not move. Spartacus stepped cautiously forward and pulled the woman over to see the balde in her chest; the woman had imppaled herself in the tumble.
"It was not to end like this." Spartan used her knee and all her rage to snap the blade she had used. "I warn you Nero, she threw the blade into the top section of an arena wall, just below the crowd, a placed shot in direct line of Nero.
Sam was saddened by the woman's death. Even though Nero was trying to kill them in combat, she didn't want to see the other slave die. "I don't think any of this is going the way Nero wants."
She turned and glared at him. "Your boss didn't learn from the last time, did he? We not only destroyed his mining facility, we shut down his entire operation in that sector of space. Now he's got you as the middle man so that when we get out of here -- and we will get out -- you will be left to take the fall. If I were you, I'd let your boss know that we're not reacting the way you thought and he needs to deal with us himself. That, or he'll end up with another destroyed facility and no one left to punish."
"You know nothing," Nero sneered. "I am in charge here. The man who hired me has complete trust in my ability to control the situation here. I am doing what he asked, and your words will not change that."
"The man behind you is a coward," Sam sneered. "If he were any sort of man, he'd be here himself. But no, he's off somewhere far away so that when we take you down, he will be safe in his own little counting house. But it won't be that safe anymore because each time we win, we get closer to finding him. ANd when we do, he'll spend the rest of his life in prison." She shook her hair back over her shoulders defiantly. "And you will be dead. Think on that. And remember, if you kill us before he's ready, you'll die, too."
Nero laughed, but there was a hint of doubt in it. "If it makes you feel better to say so."
"He's a coward, Nero. If not, he'd be here to enact his own revenge. He's afraid of me. He's afraid that I am going to win. Again. And you know what? He's right."
Sam wiled her blade on the man still writing in pain, took Spartacus by the arm and walked out of the arena.
