Maia stood behind the shuttle pilot. "How much longer?"
"Not long Ma'am. I have contacted them and have them ready to receive your belongings and yourselves."
"Very good," Maia smiled she had been worried about her sister for quite some time. Then when the crew of the Ares were transferred she chose not to stay with the new Captain. The woman seemed nice but Nick had been a pleasure to work with. They had, had many conversations from general chitchat to how to make blackberry cobbler. Maia also knew that Gaia would need support her last message had been broken, garbled and full of sobs.
Once they arrived it appeared to Maia that the ships layout was similar to the Ares and she easily found her way to Bazinga's. The door swished open and Maia and Korok stepped in. Korok started to walk around and check things like how sturdy the tables were. He dropped his tools and tipped one upside down and squatted with a loud grunt.
Gaia came out a grouchy look on her face. "What do you think you are do... Maia?" She questioned
Maia turned from Korok and grinned and ran to her sister and gave her a huge squeeze of a hug. "You look like you've been through a wringer."
Gaia didn't let go for a long time. "Mojo's... in Sickbay I have no idea if he will survive or not and is that Korok Lukk?"
Maia nodded and squeezed back, her voice extra soft. "Yes"
"So?"
"So nothing, he's still working with me but he has found himself a human who has two twins. He seems quite content and happy. I know that he's mellowed a bit and yet gotten a bit more aggressive about other things. He claims that she is his mate and yet well... that's another story for another time." Maia pulled back "We're here to help you."
Korok stood up after tightening the legs down and moved to the next his broad, back and strong arms slung the tables over one by one as he worked.
Gaia grabbed her twin and half dragged the woman to her table. She then went and grabbed hot water and tea and two mugs. She set the tea to brew. The two talked quietly as they watched the half breed Klingon work.
"He is well was thinking about his own Bazinga's but I do not think he will leave her to run one his own, it would have to be where ever she goes. He would run this one as long as she is stationed here I think but if she transfers." Maia shrugged and sipped her tea as she looked across the table at her mirror with lighter colored hair. "He would follow her. He has completely committed himself to this woman and her children. They are a strange bunch, a bunch of orphans. Much like us. It is fitting that they have found one another. The twins are a boy and a girl they are super cute and seem to love Korok as much as they do that woman who adopted them, Roberta I think is her name." Gaia nodded her own mind else where. She had been through a lot, had seen a lot, not all good. People had died, one of her own had died. Others too.
Gaia studied the table top for a long time her darker haired twin studied her and sipped her tea.
"Can you tell me yet?" Maia asked
Korok stretched and stood, his own mind focused on how Roberta's trip had gone and how was she and the children doing since she had arrived before him and he wanted to go see her and the children. He wanted to make sure they were all right. He hoped that he could run part of this establishment and that the children would be allowed to come and sit in here and that he could help them do their studies. He wanted to get to know them individually and together. He wanted to see Roberta, his mate, he did not like being away from her since they had warped back to the Ares, and for her to leave with out him seemed almost unbearable. He finished another table and looked around. He nodded to himself, they were finished,he would find something else next but for now it was time to meet the other woman. He stood before them. "May I?" He growled softly
Maia nodded and Gaia smiled no wonder Maia liked him. He might look like a klingon but his mannerisms were much more human, or in this case, Bajoran as his nose ridges denoted.
Maia moved over so Korok could sit. He stuck his hand out at Gaia "Korok Lukk, it is a pleasure." he shook the woman's hand but did not sit next to Maia. "Tables are stable and I will work on whatever else needs to be finished later if I may be excused to... see how," His face burned burgundy "how my... um... how Lieutenant Andrews and her, our... her... my..."
Maia interrupted with a grin "Go Korok and the correct verbiage is your family."
Korok grinned back "Thank you Maia." He bound out the room like a school boy and headed to the appropriate level and corridor.
