Mission: Tabula Rasa

[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

Sam looked from Damon to Alexandra, "We still have a few hours of light. I want to see what's outside this compound while I can."

With that, she headed out to the wilderness beyond the buildings.

[NEW]

For some reason Alexandra felt it was not a good idea to let Samantha go alone. "Wait up, I'm coming with you." She said rushing after Sam.

Watching them walk off, Cameron returned to a relaxed state, "what an ass" he said, turning to Kara, "well, at least we know we're not the only people without memories"

Kara nodded. "From what I can tell, nobody does," she said.

Cameron became more concerned, "this doesn't make sense, how can everyone have no memories? Did we know this was coming, this why we all have name tags..." The moment he said the word 'Tags' something clicked in Cameron's mind. Reaching up to his neck, he started to feel for something hanging around his neck, but he found nothing, "Tags. Dog Tags...." He said to himself, trying to remember.

"You have a dog?" Kara asked, not sure what a dog tab was -- or why he thought he should have one.

Cameron shook his head, "no, they're not for animals, they're for people. ID Tags if you will"

Amarylis, or so her bracelet told that was her name approached the man and woman involved in the scuffle. "You two are definitely the kind of people I want to hang around. Amarylis." She said with a smile extending her hand out.

Kara hesitated a moment, then shook her hand. "Kara. Why would you say that?"

"I saw what you did to those pompous clowns over there. I don't know what his problem is but it's gonna get him in alotta trouble soon. Besides I have a set of those tags too." She replied showing Kara and Cameron her tags.

Kara felt her neck, but found nothing.

Cameron eyes went wide, "that's it. At least you know who you are"

"Hardly. I know my name and what little information these things tell us." Amarylis replied.

"Well, that's more information than the rest of us seem to have. What do they say?" Cameron asked, looking at them curiously

"Beckinsale, Amarylis. 598213. I can't read the rest because it's faded really badly."

Cameron thought for a moment, "well, I understand the name, but what are the numbers for?"

"Not sure....I mean what's wrong with just a name?" Amarylis wondered.

Kara shrugged. "I don't know. We all seem to have them -- just names, that is." She looked up at the sky. "We have a few hours before dark. I think we should set up some sort of preparations for night. Is it going to get cold tonight?"

Looking up at the clear sky, Cameron frowned, "yea, I'd say it's going to be a cold night. We need shelter, in one of the buildings perhaps"

"Forming cliques already, are we?" Trent said as he walked by the small group. "This place just keeps getting better." He grumbled.

"What's it to you kid?" Amarylis growled.

Trent kept walking with a sideways grin on his face. "What's the term you used? Oh right; pompous clown."

Amarylis scoffed and turned away from the kid. She resisted the urge to beat the snotty little child not wanting to draw attention to herself given what little she knew of these people and her surroundings.

"You know, I think you should curb that temper of yours. You're no better than that other guy," she said to Amarylis.

"Really? Would you like me to bring him back over then?" Amarylis replied.

"Only if you want him flat on his back" Camerin said, folding his arms across his chest, "come on , let's just find somewhere for the night"

"Won't hurt me none." Amarylis mumbled.

Looking around, Cameron spotted a small ruined building off to one side, "how about that?"

"Do you think it'll be sturdy enough?" Kara asked. She wasn't so sure she liked the idea of Amarylis joining them. Partly because she thought the woman was a hothead and partly because she didn't want her getting too interested in Cam.

Jourdan was shook awake. Her eyes opened and she looked into bright blue eyes.
"Jourdan" the little girl said. "Jourdan wake up".
Jourdan rubbed her head as she sat up. She knew this little girl.
"You're Ruby right?" she asked.
"Yeah" Ruby replied "Are you my mummy?"

Jourdan thought about it for a moment. "Well" she said noticing the tag on their wrists. "It says we're family, so I guess I am. But I don't remember being pregnant, actually I don't remember anything before waking up now..."

Ruby gave her a look. "Where are we mummy?"
"I don't know" Jourdan replied. "Lets see if we can find other people..."

Hans was checking out the compound area; the basics were needed and forsome reason he felt the urge to take an inventory of the situation. The basic structure of teh buildings seemed sound, there were areas for the growth of food; he seemed to recall a vague impression of this being important and such.

Noting the young girl and who appeared to be the Mother Munich gave a smile before he knew it. Hello, I am... Hans." He gave the name he knew. "DO you two have any idea what happened, I admit I am a little fuzzy in the details?"

Jourdan shook her head. "I'm sorry I don't. I can't remember anything before I woke up just a few minutes ago. I'm Jourdan and this is my daughter Ruby, at least we think she is".
