Mission: Falling Star

Ronnie groaned softly. "Now we're getting out of my depth. You're in the best position to get his loyalty. What am I supposed to do?" Except make the Nausicaan laugh himself silly when she ran away at the first sight of him.
[NEW]
"We'll find something. Once we get our foot in the door, the situation might change." Damion looked up to her slightly. "Rule Two: Never assume. Everything is going to go directly as planned. Things change. A Intel Officer has to be ready to change his game plan to fit the situation." He ran his hand through her hair and smiled. "Something will come up. My main goal is to keep you alive and bring in the Night Star."
"And mine is to stay with you and make sure you ARE on that ship when we take it back," she said, rubbing her nose against his playfully. "Rule 2, Improvise, Adapt, Overcome. Got it."
Damion smiled as they rubbed noses. "You know. You're making this debriefing very uneasy. I am trying to be serious and your being all cuddly. If I did this during one of my debriefings I probably would have gotten shot, but thats just me." He laughed softly.
'Yes, but I've always wanted to be the teacher's pet," she teased. "Seriously, though, it's been such a long time since we've been together and I'm very happy."
"Never a problem with me." Damion replied and smirk. "So... this is Gorosh, Former Nausicaan Pirate and Intel Double Agent. He was put on the ship once they thought his cover might have been blown. He is tough and loyal only to Stryfe. No one ever got on his good side. That was only assuming he had one."
"Him I'm afraid of," Ronnie admitted. "So I will do my best not to tick him off. Anything else I need to know about him?"
Damion shook his head slightly. "No, other then to avoid him you're covered. Next.." He hesitated slightly and then tapped the console. An image of a Andorian woman appeared along with her file. "Thy'las, Infiltrations and Communications. She-... She is a very close friend. Her, her brother Thy'ren, and myself are- were.. real close. They saved my butt more times then I could count, more so when I first came onboard."
Something about the way Damion said that made her think there was a lot more to their "friendship" than he let on. "How close?" she asked quietly.
He let out a slight sigh and then cleared his throat. "Okay." Damion replied as he struggled to find his words so as not to hide anything from her. "We were close. Inseparable. We were like the three musketeers. No one would get between us. Thy'las and I grew closer and things happened. We realized nothing would come from it and we broke it off on good terms." He looked at her and took her hand in his. "She is just a close friend, Ronnie. Nothing more. I promise."
All Ronnie's insecurities returned. She knew Damion had a past, but she often felt that she paled in comparison to these women. "Okay."
Damion paused again and then cleared his throat. "Thy'las is someone I trust, so she would know whats going on." He tapped on the console and brought up a picture of a Caitian woman with long hair. "This is Katima. Serves as Chief Of Operations. She has a knack for getting into your pocket and under your skin. Not to mention she has no problem jumping into some ones bed. Her specialties includes a rap sheet of thefts. She ended up on this ship on as a consultant and stayed. Everybody assumes its because of her abilities, but its probably because her and Stryfe tend to end up in the same bed on a few occasions. Watch out for her."
Ronnie looked at the image for several moments and nodded. "Keep the cat at arm's length. Got it."
Damion laughed softly as he brought up a picture of a Efrosian. "This is Whiskers." He laughed a bit and stopped quickly. "I mean Cordan. We called him Whiskers. He was one of those, right out of the academy, types. His flying skills were off the charts. They haven't seen talent like that since these twin cadets with the last name of Knight. Anyway, Cordan was always trying to get with Katima, of course she never gave him the time of day, but once Stryfe found this out he used her to keep him on a leash. All Kat had to do was whisper in his ear and he was hooked. He was always a good kid, just in the wrong place and the wrong time. You know what I mean?"
She nodded that she understood. "So, how dangerous is he? Can you trust him or is he too much in Stryfe's pocket?"
"Its hard to say." Damion replied as the console beeped. He tapped it and brought up the picture of a planet they were approaching. Some detail's came up along side the picture. "We're here. An old contact of Stryfe's and the Night Star is on this planet. Nimbus III." He paused slight and then laughed a bit. "Funny. The one person who can lead us to where we need to go is on a Federation Peace Planet. In plain sight." He looked over to Ronny and smiled a bit. "You sure you want to come? The me you see down there won't be the me you have seen. Its the me I need to be to get on the ship. It will require crossing some lines and maybe breaking a rule or two."
"Does that mean I have to watch you flirt with other women?" she asked. That was one thing she wasn't sure she wanted to see.
"No." He paused slightly. "It means you have to watch me hurt people. Intentionally break bones. Cause pain. Even bring someone to the point close to death." Damion cleared his throat a bit, not proud of it, but he knew dealing with these people would probably bring out the worst in him again. "In order to keep my story up, I have to make it seem like I am that desperate."
Ronnie thought about it for a while. It meant that she'd have to deal with Johnny, one of Damion's alter-egos. She wasn't sure she wanted to see that side of him again. On the other hand, she couldn't stay behind. Stryfe knew she'd come with him. He'd know she was on the shuttle. That was likely to be worse than going with him. "All right. Let's go."
