working lunch

Mission: What Dreams May Come?

Munich had taken both his box with the parts as well as a small rolled bundle of tools before heading to the Lounge. What limited contact he had with the crew he found the woman Gaia seemed a good conversationalist, he really could use that as he was new man on ship and it is difficult to make friends under present conditions.


Making his way to the bar he found the woman and gave her a friendly smile. "I am Hans Munich." He bow slightly as is proper. "I was hoping you vould not mind my doing a kind of working lunch?" He asked.

Gaia raised an eyebrow "Working lunch?" she queried.

Munich looked at her. "Brain food, to have something to eat while you are working. I have a project and was hungry and did not want to ... stop working but needed food?"

"Fine, what would you like to eat?" The chef asked patiently but politely. The man seemed as if he needed to slow down just a tad.

"I could use a good sandwich, some beef soup and a good strong tea please." He looked to the woman. "You can choose what sandwich is of the day just some food please?"

Gaia smiled certainly "Tea hot or cold?" she eyed the blonde man

"Cold please." Munich said as he started to lay out his little project.

After he answered the question she motioned to Jenna "Tea the way I prefer." Gaia then disappeared to make the gentleman's sandwich herself. She added leafy greens tomato a spicy mustard and roast beef, ham and a tomato and cheese. She put beef soup and the sandwich on a tray and carried it out. Gaia set the bowl of soup down, added the sandwich and lowered her tray to wait patiently for his first bite.

The smell alone took his attention from the project. "Dis smells great. He took up the sandwich and once the bite was in his mouth he savored it. "You are to be complemented, it tastes very great." He glanced up to the woman. "You do have a excellent knack for mixing the flavors." He said before he took a bit of the soup.

"Thank you, I am glad that you are enjoying it. Do you think you would like dessert too?" Gaia queried not sure what to think of him at first he barked orders and then he complimented her. A puzzle for sure she thought.

"No thank you." Munich said as he enjoyed more of the soup. "I have to get this unit ready for the the Commanding Officer; the assignment was given me when I arrived and if it works might help other get sleep?" He explained. "I am still; as they say, fresh as I just arrived and rested well on way here. I wish to get this done before I too start to get tired and make mistakes."

Gaia motioned for more tea and took the picture from Jenna and paused between his swallows and picked up the glass and re-filled it herself. "Yes, being tired around here has had a few draw backs lately."


"Dey do say there is nothing to match a good night's sleep." Munich commented as he seemed to get an idea , took out a small spanner and adjusted a few of the items on the electronics.

"Correct, sleep and a good meal" Gaia replied with a grin


"Dat is it" Munich exclaimed as he held the device up and then quickly put it down to gobble a few bites of the sandwich . "Lunch was great. "He mumbled as he took the headset and started to bolt for the door.

"Come back some time when you can really enjoy the meal." Gaia shook her head as she watched the man leave. To herself she said "This place is certainly full of unique people"
