Location: Holodeck 2

Samantha sought out Cameron to tell him the news personally. "Cam," she said. "Kara and Amarylis are missing."

Cam quickly turned around to face Sam, "what? That can't be right, they left before us, they should've made it back before us" he said, sounding more and more worried. This was NOT what he wanted to hear right now, with half of his Marines either too tired from all night watches or drinking to much in town, Cam was left with two experienced Marines and three shineies that only graduated from the Marine Corp Academy three weeks ago.

Biting his lower lip, Cam quickly thinks of a plan, "alright, um, I'll take a small team into town and find out what we can. We'll travel light, rifle, knife basic kit and nothing else. As this is your program, any idea where we should start?" He asked,

"The first place to check is the brig. Second, the doctor's office. If she's not in either place, get a drink at one of the pubs and listen. DO NOT make a scene. This is a safe harbor, but they don't like pirates. We've managed to stay under the radar so far and I don't want to change that. Don't bring attention to yourselves and don't get caught. Understood?"

Cam nodded, "understood, recon only, do not engage. If I manage to find out where they are, do I have permission to extract?"

"If you can do it without jeopardizing yourself or your team, yes. Otherwise, gather Intel so we can get them out later. Two hours is a hard line. We have to catch the morning tide."

Cam nodded, then quickly marched off to gather his team

She then went in search of Marek. "Marek, we're missing two crew. I think they've been captured. What can you add to the program to help us find them and get them back?"

Marek wasn't really surprised at hearing some of their crew were captured, he quickly snapped to the issue at hand. "I can replicate items and place items at a specific location, I'm still investigating if I can add to characters' programming or not."

"That'll be tricky if we don't know the names of the characters. This program tends to name all the characters you interact with. So we'd need a name first." She ran a hand through her hair as she thought. "They don't have airplanes...they might have dirigibles. They travel faster than people do. OR maybe a hot air balloon? Could we get one of those to use?"

She looked towards the entrance to the cove. "We need to leave here in two hours or risk getting caught. Word in the town says the British will be combing the island to look for us. See what you can come up with. Even a canoe at this point might be helpful. That way, if Cam succeeds, he could come after us." She hated leaving people behind, but she had the rest of the crew to consider. If all else failed, she'd find a safe place to moor the Black Pearl and come back herself for her crew.

Worse case scenario, Kara and Amarylis would be sent to Victoria Island to be tried for piracy. If that happened...well, Sam would have to come up with something.

"Actually I can look up a list of named holographic characters and their locations but not real people as it appears the main computer isn't responding," Marek said as he played with the holodeck control panel that was on a wall of the ship.

He realised that this lack of response could be power related he now knew that the main computer could be offline. ~ That could be why we cannot get the arch nor leave the holodeck. ~ The Romulan thought. "But yes as you said without knowing who is holding our crewmates we cannot locate them, so I guess that makes that useless. Anyway, I can replicate handheld items but I will look into larger vehicles as we speak."

Marek continued to manipulate the controls in order to see the extent of what he can do.

"Hand-held items will work. I have some flintlocks, but a few 1911s would be nice. A few six-shooters, too," she said, thinking. She knew a little about archaic weapons, but not a lot.

[Two hours later]

Sam was nervous. Cam had yet to return and it was time to leave if they were going to catch the tide. She called up to Robert. "Any sign of Cam and his team?"

Just then, the two marines Cam took with him returned to the ship, carrying his gear along with their own. "Ma'am, we've got your report"

"Where is Lieutenant Bourne?" she asked, not sure she would like the answer.

"Ma'am, the Lieutenant....well" the Marines said, obviously not liking having to give the answer, "quite frankly Ma'am, we don't know where he is. He gave us his equipment not long after we walked into town and told us to go to the bar, find out what we could and report back within two hours"

"Than he just walked off down an alley carrying nothing but his knife" the other Marine piped in, throwing Cam's gear down onto the deck between them.

Sam grabbed the rope in front of her and squeezed tightly. She didn't need one of her crew running off to play hero right now. At the same time, she couldn't really blame him. Hadn't she done the same thing when Damon went missing? Still, it would have been better for him to report back so they could work as a team to rescue Kara and Amarylis. "Thank you. Stow his gear and stay below. We need to catch the morning tide."

"Ma'am permission to stay" Robert piped up."Before you ask why i will not leave men behind and if there is any one here that can find info and not be seen it is me"

"Not this time, Robert. If Cam can't get them back, I'll need your help at the next port." Sam appreciated his willingness to help, but she was already planning something, once she got the ship somewhere safe.

"Marek, time's up. If you can do anything, do it now," she yelled, hoping he could hear her.

"Look lively, mates! Johnny, take her out. We'll get to the next safe harbor and send a boat back for them."
