769 words; about a 4 minute read

Mission: Subjugation
Location: Mining facility
Timeline: tbd

ON:

Doc, weaken and bloodied, stumbled through this section of mine which was new to him. Between blood loss and sleep deprivation, Doc knew he needed to find help and fast, but this section of the mine didn't seem to have federation races and Doc could speak the language of the races he saw. He continued to stumble deeper in this section, calling for help.

Ronnie was again prowling through the mine looking for members of the Calypso crew. She heard the cry for help and stopped, listening intently to see if it was a legitimate cry for help or a ruse.

After several minutes she approached the person. She walked past him slowly, giving herself time to assess him and his veracity.

"Starfleet... have they sent ...a .. rescue team?" Doc whispered barely conscious The lack of sleep and blood loss was taken a heavy toll on him.

Ronnie turned and addressed him directly. "No. We got stuck here, too. Where are you from?" she asked, walking up to him and indicating the direction she wanted him to go.

As Doc limped in the direction she indicated he replied "I'm originally from Earth. Florida specifically, but I was assigned to the USS Regent when we ended up here a few weeks ago. Most of the crew is now missing or badly injured."

"We've been here almost five weeks now. Most of us are still alive, -- that we know of. Sectors 1 through 3 are ready to erupt in civil war. I'm in Sector 5 with Captain Samantha York of the USS Calypso -- but don't mention that out loud. It's not a good thing to be Starfleet around here."

"So I've noticed, helping the other isn't looked up fondly either, but although intel is isn't area of expertise why would the Orions Kidnap Starfleet it seems like Having Starfleet and federation poking around would be the last thing the syndicate wanted." Doc replied with Southern draw as he limped along

Damion walked in quietly through the shadows of the facility, watching Ronnie and Renfroe talking. He crouched slowly as he looked over and assessed Doc's condition. He seemed badly wounded and could be taken out in one quick motion. He smirked as he plotted his next move slowly.

"Sam will know what to do," Ronnie assured Samuel, her focus on the injured man.

Damion saw them walked slowly toward Sector 5 and made his move. He walked up quickly behind Renfroe and turned him around. He brought his arm back, balled up his fist, and cold cocked him across the face effectively knocking him down. He wasn't sure if the man was out, but he didn't care as he drew his Klingon Disruptor from inside his coat and held it out to Ronnie. "Hello, Sweetie? Let's go for a romantic stroll to Sector 5. Time for us to say Hi to the dear old Captain." He wrapped his arm around her and then turned her around, facing the entrance, seeing the Klingon woman walk-through. Damion placed the disruptor to Ronnie's head and looked forward. "Let's clear a path, shall we?!!" He yelled, looking down to Renfroe and then back to Sophia.

"Damion...Johnny, please, don't do this," Ronnie whispered. She walked along beside him, not sure why he was doing this.

Sophia abandoned caution and rushed forward to the fallen man. "HEY! Come back here!" she shouted at the mad hurrying away. She knelt next to Renfroe and checked his pulse. She checked his head and face and then gently placed her hand on his face. "Hey there. Anyone home?"

"I'll let you known when the bells stop ringing, this doesn't seem to be my day, so what was that all about?" Doc replied as shook his hear to regain his bearings. "Well, Guess we better go after them." Doc said raising to his feet once again.

"Are you sure that's a good idea. He showed willingness to do you harm the first time. I doubt the second encounter would turn out much better. Maybe we should just get you back to camp?"

"A fellow member of Starfleet is in danger, and he said something about sector five I presume that near the camp you spoke of." Doc replied

"Sector five is not our camp, but it's near there. There is a group of us trying to figure out a plan. We'll go there and let them know what happened."
