Mission: Subjugation

Being the highest ranking officer on the ship Jourdan was tecnically in command of the ship. Even if it was badly damaged it was her first command. She was currently under one of the consoles in engineering trying to get the interal communications back online. After a good ten minutes she managed to get some power to the internal communications and partial external sensors.
"Good" she said as she studied the short range external sensors. On spotting something she smilied and then opened up a comm link ship wide.
"Everyone. Can you all please come to Engineering. We need to make a plan" she announced over what was left of the ships communication system.

Alan, thankful for the excuse to get out of the jefferies tube he was working in, dropped all of his tools and began crawling back towards engineering.

After a few minutes the Marine poked through the opening and started climbing down the ladder. He was once again grateful for the warm air that washed over him...To be honest he was starting to get used to the near freezing conditions outside of the livable areas.

"Well it's a start." He said of the comm system as he warmed his hands at the foot of the ladder.

Lizzie heard the call from the arboretum. Things were finally set up and working properly -- at least for her. The water system was working properly, Maddison had her own little pool and waterfall and had stopped trying to turn the entire room into a marsh, and Lizzie was growing a small number of plants nad herbs for the crew. She'd even managed to plant some fruit trees. "Now what," she mumbled as she dusted off her hands and headed for Engineering.

Maria had the science department set up -- for what, she wasn't sure. She'd left anything bridge-related to Lieutenant O'Dell as her area of expertise was lab work and research. She'd spent a lot of time looking into what little information had been gathered by the computers. Granted, it wasn't much, but she'd set up various protocols to search for anything she might have missed.

When she heard the call to go to Engineering she wondered if they'd managed to fix something or find a way to get out of their current predicament.

Now that everyone had arrived in Engineering Jourdan turned to face them all.
"Okay, as highest ranking officer aboard this vessel. Starfleet policy states that I am to take temporary command until we find another commander. So, any objections to this?" she asked as she looked around what was left of the Starfleet crews.

Maria looked around, but said nothing. She was still surprised to see how many people were still on board. She had no objections, though as she didn't know enough about the Engineer to have an opinion.

"Right, first of all we need to get some major systems back online" Jourdan said. "I've managed to restore internal communications and partial short range sensors and I've picked up something interesting" she announced as she pulled up a map of the ship graveyard. There were several ships floating around all heavily damaged.

Jourdan pointed to one ship in particular.
"This here is a partially destroyed Intrepid Class Federation Starship" Jourdan explained. "I can't find its name or registry, however from this range I have determined that it is adrift, there is no life-signs but some of the technology is intact" she said. "Also" she pointed to another ship in the graveyard. "There is another starship, this time an old Miranda Class starship. I believe that if we can get to the shuttlebay we can take 2 teams to these ships, find some useful technology, bring them back to the Vaun Braun and repair some of our systems" Jourdan explained.

Alan thought on this for a moment. "Well if you can get me about 200 feet of grade two power conduits from the Intrepid and 60 feet of HVDC cable from the Miranda, we could start making a direct bypass to the engines."

"I'll be taking a team to the Intrepid, Lieutenants O'Dell and Lovok you will be leading a team to the Miranda. Our mission is to find what is left over on these two ships, bring back anything we can use and repair this ship. Any questions?" Jourdan asked.

"I can fly the shuttle." Maddison said, nodding. "And I'll use the shuttle's sensors, to search other wrecks, too. I've got a good hand with tractor beams."

"We'll have to see about tractor beams. We need to keep our energy low so that those shuttles look like drifting debris. We don't want to be detected. Also while out there if you spot any useful technology we may be able to use, map its location and then we can go for it at a later date" Jourdan explained. "While alpha and beta teams are off ship, the crew remaining here need to work on trying to re-establish the ships warp core. But don't risk a breach"

"Okay then, if there are no more questions let hop to it!" Jourdan ended as she picked up a hyperspanner, twirled it in the air and neatly caught it in her hand.

"Aye chief." Marek said, "I love shopping." He added sarcastically.

"I have little to no training in Engineering," Lizzie said, "but I'd like to find out if there are any plants or trees we can transplant here for food."

"I'd like to look at their computer data. Maybe we can find out what happened and where the rest of the crew went," Maria added.

"Right, well lets go. We need to get to the shuttlebay" Jourdan ordered as she nodded over towards the doors of Engineering.
