Mission:
The Race for the Lost Treasure
Timeline: Following the Integgoration
[USS Calypso]
Following the interrogation by Lieutenant Levue, the hard nose by the book, all about the regulations security chief Tovan had decided to visit Morgana himself. Not to interrogate but to simply meet this individual and get a better feel for whom she might be. It was one thing to read a report but another to actually meet face to face.
A PADD in his hand with the interrogation report Tovan stepped into the room. He had purposely neglected to read the report. He wanted to meet her first. He approached Morgana without saying anything.
Morgana watched Tovan approach without saying a word. Who was this man and what did he want? She wasn't sure. She eyed him with both caution and trepidation.
"How are you feeling?" Tovan simply asked.
"Honestly? Angry, frustrated, hurt. How do you think I feel? My ship was attacked. And what do my rescuers do? They interrogate me and lock me in my room. How am I supposed to feel?" She eyed him defiantly. "Are you here to rub it in?"
Tovan lightly shook his head. "No, I'm not here to rub it in. And while our action might bring a certain level of frustration to you we are only being precautious. We do not know a thing about you nor the people chasing you. So until we feel comfortable enough with who you are and what your intentions are we must keep a close eye on you."
"My intentions are to not get killed," she insisted. She placed a hand on his arm. "Look at it from my position. I'm alone. I don't remember what happened before I got attacked and I'm being accused of ... who knows what." She looked at him with pleading eyes. "How am I supposed to feel?"
"No one will harm you while you are aboard this vessel Miss. I can guarantee you that much." Tovan responded as his eyes shifted down to her hand on his arm. He made no movement to pull away as he looked back to her.
"Thank you." She took a step closer to him, keeping her hand on his arm. "You're the first person on this ship I feel safe around."
Tovan nodded lightly. "You're welcome." He observed her actions closely but made no attempt to pull away. He did not want to insult her as she was of unknown race and as such he was not aware of their customs.
She looked into his eyes for several moments and then stepped back. "So, what do you want to know?"
Tovan shook his head lightly. "Nothing, I simply wanted to stop by and see how you were doing."
"Honestly? I'm going stir crazy. Kirk and I are both tired of being confined to quarters." She gave him a pleading look. "We can't go anywhere without a ship. Isn't there somewhere we can go to walk?"
"I might be able to arrange something." Tovan stated his expression giving the idea that he was thinking of a way. "I might have to clear it with the captain first."
A smile spread across Morgana's face. "That would be lovely. Thank you."
Tovan nodded. "My pleasure. Have you had a chance to eat?"
Morgana liked that idea very much indeed. "No. That's one thing they neglected. I'd be grateful if you could remedy it." She smiled again at Tovan as he gave her his arm and led her out of the room.
