Mission: The Race for the Lost Treasure

Sensing that this line of questioning was going no where, Sophia decided to change tactics. "So, Kirk huh? He seems like quite the handful."

"Sometimes," Morgana admitted. "He hates being cooped up. I have vague memories of walking down corridors with him." She looked at Sophia. "Do you know how to help someone regain her memory?"

Kirk heard his name mentioned as he looked up from eating his date. The monkey let out a slight chirp and then looked over to Sophia with a suspicious look. He let out a soft growl and then felt Morgana's grip slightly tighten. Kirk then looked quickly up to Morgana and let out a coo. He placed his head against her body and ate another date, keeping his eyes on the large Klingon.

"There are some methods that have proven effective in the past. They do require intense concentration though. I'm not sure how well they would work with you being constantly distracted by your companion."

"Is there somewhere he could go and run for a bit? Supervised, of course. Then he'd get some exercise and we could try these methods of yours," Morgana offered.

"I don't believe we have a kennel for him. The arboretum might be nice, but it would be hard to get you enough quite to really focus."

"True. But it might help Kirk settle down and that WOULD help me focus. Do you have someone on your ship who might want to take Kirk for an hour or two while you help me?" Morgana asked politely.

Sophia said, "Excuse me a moment." then crossed to her desk. She pulled up 'the list' and picked the first name off the top. She placed a call telling Crewman Dover that she had a project for him and to report to her office right away.

She returned to the seating area and said, "Crewman Dover will be here shortly to take Kirk. He owes me a favor."

Morgana nodded. She turned to Dover. "He likes dates, if you need to bring him back. He should enjoy climbing in the trees for a bit. It'll give him some good exercise."

Kirk screeched a bit and then went quiet. The monkey looked at her with puppy dog eyes, feeling he did something wrong. He cooed a bit at Morgana and then looked over to Dover. Kirk began to pout and put his head down.

After Kirk and the crewman left, Morgana turned back to Sophia. "Okay, now what?"

Kirk let out a loud screech and then took off like a bat out of hell down the corridor. The Crewman chased after him.

Morgana heard the screech and lay her head back against the back of the couch and sighed. "I hope he remembers the dates."

"Likewise." Sophia agreed. "Now then, start taking deep breaths through your nose, hold them for a count of five and then let them out through your mouth." she instructed. "Do this ten times and then we'll try to jog you memory."

Morgana did as she was told. She took ten slow, deep breaths and waited for the counselor's next instructions.

"You're in the shuttle. What do you hear?"

"An alert warning telling me a ship is coming up behind me," Morgana said.

"Excellent." Sophia answered. "Now, what's the first thing you do?"

"Send a message to the ship and tell them to back off, they're too close," Morgana replied dutifully.

"OK, and they didn't comply." Sophia added, "Now, they're attacking. What are you doing?"

"I'm running away. The shuttle's no match for their weaponry. So, I run. And I send out a distress signal."

"Then what happens? What are you seeing, What do you hear?"

"The shuttle shaking from a hit. A tractor beam. Not sure what you're asking. Then I came here."

"Hold on. You're getting ahead of me. Go back to the tractor beam. Who else was there?"

"Me, Kirk, the shuttle. What do you mean, who else was there? Your ship, obviously." Morgana was beginning to get frustrated with these questions. "Was there anyone else on board when you pulled me in? No. Did someone magically disappear in the middle of being tractored in? No. Is it even possible? I don't think so but you're the big, bad Federation. You tell me."

Morgana stood, clearly fed up with the whole thing. "Never mind. Just leave. We can try this another time when you don't need to ask me obvious questions." She stood by the door as it opened. "Good day, madam."
