[USS Calypso - Operations Center]

Samantha stepped inside the operations center after a long day at work. She was glad that her day was over and that she was about to get off duty. She quickly noticed Lt. Faye and Ensign Miyazaki talking at the far end of the center and she hoped that she wouldn't be noticed. That hope was quickly crushed as Lt. Faye called out to Samantha. She took a deep breath and looked over at the Lt. "Yes ma'am..."

"Mind if I borrow you for a moment...?" Morgan asked with a smile.

Samantha wanted to say yes that she minded but that would be stepped out of line so she quickly put on a smile and walked towards the two other females. "No. Not at all ma'am."

"Don't worry, this won't take long. I know you have had a long day." Morgan said as Samantha approached them.

Samantha smiled at both women as she stopped in front of them.

"Well, you already know Ensign Miyazaki here." Morgan motioned towards Sakura. Sakura and Samantha looked at each other and exchanged smiles.

"Yes, I do. We have worked before on a few communications issues." Samantha said.

Morgan smiled. "That is actually what we were just talking about Chief. It seems that there is an opening for a Communications Chief in the Comm Section and Ensign here would like you to fill in the spot."

Samantha was speechless. She knew her way around the communications systems but she was sure that there were others more qualified for the position.

"And I think that it's a good idea." Morgan added.

Samantha looked at Morgan. "I don't know what to say...thank you?"

"There isn't a need to thank anyone Chief. You have earned the spot." Ensign Miyazaki said.

"Well, I will leave you two to get to know each other as you will be working closely now." Morgan said. "If either of you have any questions come and find me." And then she walked back to her office.

"Chief..." Sakura said.

"Yes ma'am...?" Samantha looked at her new boss.

"I understand that you are just getting off duty and are looking to getting some rest so I won't overwhelm you with anything concerning the section I am sure that we can handle it all tomorrow." Sakura said.

"Thank you!" Samantha was very excited to hear her new boss say that because she wasn't in a mood to really be doing anything but taking a bubble bath.

"Meet me in my office at 0800 tomorrow." Sakura said.

"I will be there..."Samantha responded.

"Well, see you tomorrow..."

"Tomorrow it is...."

The two women parted ways.
