ON

[OLD]

"I was never in the brig. I was in a contained area while your two officers and I were checked for the virus that killed my brother. I am not confined here, either. I am here awaiting another meeting with someone who will listen to me and help me get rid of the people who currently hold my planet hostage." She gave Wolfe a cool stare. "You should get your facts straight before you accuse people of things they never did."

[NEW]

"Oh don't worry, I have." He said as he leaned back. "You see, my people are empathic and telepathic by nature. So normally I can pick up on things, mainly emotions and surface thoughts. I am only part human." He leaned back in the chair as he looked back to Lumina. "Of course it could just be my assistant didn't highlight the most important part but I at least have a general idea of how you feel and think when speaking the truth so I will know when your lying." Damion glanced slightly over at Ruka and then to Lumina.

"I'm not lying." She couldn't say the same for Bilbo, slimy little creature that he was, but her intentions were honorable. "Who are your people?"

"Betazoid. We look human but our mental abilities are much more active compared to them." Damion said softly as he watched her closely. He stood up and looked around the quarters and then back to Lumina. "Why don't you tell me why you want our help?"

"I told your Captain. The current government killed half the former administration with a man-made virus and usurped power. I would like help returning the rightful government to power."

"Are you sure it was the government?" Damion said with a raised brow.

Ruka rolled her eyes as she did highlight that Lumina was escorted to quarters and never was in the brig upon her boarding the Calypso. She went to the replicator. "Jazberry tea, warm." The drink materialised and Ruka picked it up tenderly then had a sip before she walked back to stand somewhere behind Damion.

"Yes, I'm sure. We have Intel that clearly indicated they're behind the virus and the takeover," Lumina assured him.

"Could we have that intelligence?" Ruka asked.

"Do you have any intelligence?" Lumina muttered under her breath, wondering if they had any better grasp of what was really going on than Bilbo and Wilsh.

Ruka smiled. "Actually no, we just joined the crew and still playing catch-up."

That could take a while. Lumina smiled and said nothing.

Though she got the play on words Ruka didn't want it to show. "The information you have would be very much appreciated Miss Maralena," she said.

Lumina pulled a small notebook out of her pocket. "It's all here," she said, handing it to Damion. "I want it back when you're finished with it."

Damion handed the notebook back to Ruka, without even looking at it, and stood up. He picked up the PaDD and started to review it himself. He raised his hand up to his ear and then ran his finger through his hair and then as it came down he his the ear bud Leo gave him. Damion walked away from the two and whispered softly. "Captain Mangalia? Are you there?"

"Naturally, I'll just copy it and give it back." Ruka smiled.

-Leo's Quarters-

Leroy had been napping until Damions voice rang in his quarters, causing him to jerk back, toppling the chair he had been leaning in. "Go ahead Lieutenant," he said a little tired sounding. Reaching up, his hand could be seen patting down the table, until it touched his glass of water. Grabbing it and pulling it under, he took a long drought. "Are you finally in the woman's presence?"

"Yes, Captain. The interview is going bad. Went off to a bad start and just dropped. I am refraining from going into her mind myself, but I assure you that idea has crossed my mind once of twice. She said something about her government being responsible for the virus. What can you tell me about the relationship between the rebel faction and the government?"

"It's not good. From everything I've seen, the current government tried to displace the old government and succeded. I have a couple corpsmen down there, working on the virus, to see whats going on with it."

"There is a monitor in her quarters. Do you think you can provide a feed from the probes to these quarters?" Damion said as he looked over to Lumina and Ruka from the corner of his eye and then turned his back to them again. "What can you tell me about the government and the rebellion faction?"

"I can try to patch my drones into the room, but I know next to nothing about the current government or the rebellion. I got blown up too early in the operation." Leo stood and looked at his computer, then began to type in commands. "I have one probe up, and it's showing the outside of our FOB. Why are the Marines pulling out?" Patching it in, he continued to watch. "Do you want to see the inside of the FOB?"

"Yeah. I'll link my PaDD to the signal coming into the room and patch it through." Damion hit a few buttons on his PaDD as he brought up the link so only he could see it at the moment.

Leo nodded and waited. "When you need something else, let me know Lieutenant. I'm not doing anything important."

"I'll keep that in mind, Captain Mangalia." He said softly as he brought up the image on his PaDD and looked it over.

---Guest Quarters---

Lumina watched Damion talk to himself. Was he balmy? Or ... she stilled. Or was the room bugged? Suddenly she wondered if coming here really was the right thing to do.

Ruka walked over and sat next to Lumina. "Is something wrong?"

"Is he crazy or do you have my room bugged?"

Ruka looked over at Damion and chuckled. "He does look a bit crazy but unfortunately no, he is using our ship's internal communications grid."

"Internal communications grid?"

The Trill had to think of an analogy to use for Lumina though she wasn't sure about what the planet used for communications. She then decided to go with the simple explanation. "Well we can talk to others anywhere on our ship from anywhere."

"Ah. Okay." That made sense. "Is there anything more you need from me?"

With a quick turn, his expression changed. He walked over to her as he brought up the exterior or the place were the where Mangalia was injured. Damions face seemed cold as he slid the PaDD across the table to Lumina. He slammed his hands on the table. "What's so important about this building?" He said with a stern voice and a hard stare. "This building seems to be heavily guarded, either your government or your own faction is behind it. Traps were set there and injured several of this crew. Start talking." He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest.
