Everyone was finally back on board and Sam was looking forward to moving on. Although she found the trees fascinating, it would take Starfleet a while before they were ready to make contact again. At least not until they could find a better way to communicate with the trees and still use communication devices.
For the crew of the USS Calypso it was time to look for another adventure. Sam walked out of her ready room and took her seat on the bridge. "Lieutenant Jones, take us out of orbit, 1/4 impulse."
Serena was glade to back on the ship, her time with Daniels as quite interesting but know she felt at ease being back at her own seat, "I sir 1/4 impulse," stated Jones with a smile on her face; watching the ship leave orbit.
"All stations report."
"Security reports all clear. Tactical systems check." Kyt said, from her console, patiently waiting for the others to mutter pretty much the same thing about their departments.
Leo looked up from the PT test he was administering and smiled. -^-Marines are a go Captain. If you need me on the bridge, let me know.-^-
Chi just stares at Leo "thank god we are leaving this mission was a waste of time" chi said happily.
"I know Corporal, but at the same time, its always good to be needed. Some of the boys I graduated the War College with are stuck on dead end ships, never having any fun."
Chi laughed at that "very true sir very true I guess we can count are grace's we have good bit of fun on this ship sir."
Leo looked up and sighed. "Lieutenant Ghassan, if you don't go lower with your push-ups, I'm not counting them! You're still at zero with twenty seconds left!"
Noelle gave a slight grin and went lower with the push ups. She'd been slacking and went down til her dog tags hit the floor like they were supposed to for countable push ups. Noelle continued with them until Leo told her to stop. She knew that she should be setting a better example and vowed to do so in the future.
Down in engineering Marek was in the main console area and everything checked out. =^= Lovok to Ross, engine room a-ok. =^=
"Excellent. You've all done marvelously. Party tonight in holodeck one," Sam said over the comm system.
Kyt scowled. "Does this mean I have to shave my legs?" Kyt asked, softly.
"Only if you plan on wearing a dress," Sam replied with a grin.
"Then I'll refrain from doing so." Kyt said, nodding, with a chuckle.
"Good. Then I'll refrain from bringing a can of Nair," Sam chuckled.
"Of what?" Kyt asked, curious.
Sam shook her head at her own foolishness. She knew Kyt wasn't from Earth. "It's a Terran product. A spray foam that removes hair from your legs. You spray it on and wash it off. It's a harsh chemical if misused, but is easier for some than a razor."
Kyt quirked an eyebrow. "I shall retain that for further evaluation."
"Good enough. Now, get some food and have some fun -- but not too much fun."
"Of course ma'am. No beating of anyone." Kyt said, nodding. "Unless they drink too much, and step out of line."
"And then we lock them in the brig for the night," Sam added. "But I doubt it'll come to that."
"Sick bay, or the brig. I'll be polite enough to give them the option." Kyt said, flatly.
Sam laughed at that. "Just don't end up there yourself. That's an order."
"Ma'am, I may have a questionable method of operation, but I'm not about to start taking up my predecessor's habits." Kyt said, chuckling.
"Glad to hear it!"
She turned back to Seren. "Now, 'let's see what else we can find out here."
