New Chief Flight Control Officer

Serena made her way to Deck one and stood in front of the Captain's ready room. She didn't know what to expect from this person all she knew was that she needed to meet with her and prove herself to have her Captain's respect.

Sam had just finished a report to Starfleet when her door chimed. "Come in," she said.

Serena took a deep breath and walked there the doors and stated, "I'm Lt. Serena Jones you new Chief Flight Control Officer. But most people call me Seren."

"Hi." she said, smiling. "I'm Sam York."

"It nice to meet you, sir," she smiled sitting down across from the Captain, "I just figured I would introduce myself to you and soon I plan on meeting the XO as well. I like to get to know my superiors first before I actually start working."

"Excellent," Sam replied. "Although we don't have an XO at the moment. Major Raine is acting XO, if you wish to meet him. I don't think he'd mind." She looked at the Lieutenant for a moment, taking her measure. "Tell me a bit about your last assignment."

"Well," Serena started trying to think back, "It wasn't anything major. At the time the Caitian's needed supplies and the Reprisal was the one who delivered them. There was a couple of Instances were we ran into the Romulan's but other then that, nothing much."

"I'm afraid I can't say the same for the Calypso. We've had a very... unique... series of missions. Life here is never dull," Sam said. "Have you had a chance to settle in?"

"Well that's good," smiled Serena, "Well I guess the only place I've been were my quarters. Which I might say are amazing. And I was going to go see the XO but I can be more than happy to go see the Major and then perhaps my office."

"Major Raine spends most of his time on the Marine deck during the day if you want to look him up," Sam said. "Definitely take some time to familiarize yourself with the ship. Talk to the CAG. Even though you have different duties you're both pilots. The Calypso's shuttles are in the same shuttlebay as the fighters. And by all means visit your office."

"Well thank you sir. I can't wait and test out this ship," smiled Serena starting to get all giggy inside. She love to fly, it was her thing, and it was something she was born to do. "If you don't have any other questions or concerns I best make my way around before my shift starts," she stated sweetly.

"Well sir it was nice to meet you," she stated holding out her hand to the Captain, "Hopefully I'll see you on the bridge the next time we meet." After shaking hands with her superior, Serena turned around and left the Captain's office to introduce herself to a few more people on the ship.
